Glad you enjoyed it. Seems to be a lot of mixed feelings about the album.

Phonte dropped what, 24 bars between two songs on the album? They fit with the song and I really love this.

I wanted to wait for the physical so I could get the instrumentals, but I couldn't it and bought it off of iTunes Tuesday morning. Hell, if I can find it in a store around here I might buy it again.

This was the first album I bought in a long, long time.

The new Foreign Exchange is a horrible piece of garbage. Props to Phonte for doing what he wants to do and attempting to be creative, it's a shame he's such a god awful singer. I know he put his heart into this album...but it just sucks so badly.

Tay is literally outshined by everyone else that participates (Nic, Brockington, the other two singers). His voice is so bad and his style so amateurish it honestly amazes me. I don't know why he thinks raising his voice an octave is a good idea, if I didn't know any better I would think this album was a freaking joke made by some random kid off the street. Maybe if he had stuck to his regular voice (like he uses on the Playaz Circle hook) he would have been alright.

It really hit me when I was randomly listening to the Eminem Show and "Halie's Song"....Eminem is wayyyy better of a singer than Phonte, but he sticks to rapping like he should.

Phonte just failed miserably. This album is far, far from "beautiful", it's just trash. Has Percy Miracles written all over it. JOKE. Tay done fell the f*** off. What a shame.

Had to take the underground/Phonte blinders off for this one and look at it for what it is.

          Can't say I completely disagree.

It's a decent album, but no enough for me to listen again multiple times.

I just don't understand why they wanted to make a mediocre R&B album as opposed to an amazing rap album. Doesn't make any sense to me. As you said, he put all these other real singers on the album and they just completely destroy him singing wise.

The worst part is some songs seem to drag on for the sake of dragging on, Phonte harmonizing for 2 minutes over a good Nicolay beat is just a complete waste.

Hate to say it, I'm disappointed. With that being said I'm seeing Little Brother live this week in Chicago, pretty pumped.

Atmosphere came on and I can now die happy.

By the way there were a ton of hot girls there. Fortunately for me and my buddy we "stuck out" at the concert because Asheville had a "different" male population. Him and I were surrounded by hot girls, it was awesome. Personally I ignored them and focused on Slug because I wasn't trying to do anything anyways...it would've been pointless. My buddy had this gorgeous chick on him all night...good for him.

I was front row mid-stage and people weren't too happy about it because I'm tall. It's not my fault I'm tall, plus I'm not moving back because that was my shot to see Atmosphere.

I am usually a pretty reserved guy but last night I broke out the shell big time. I was probably the most enthusiastic fan there and I was rapping every line with Slug. My throat hurts today but it was well worth it.

              Best night of my life
That sounds like me at the Atmosphere shows I saw in OKC and Austin. I'm going to see them again in Tulsa next month. Hopefully I'll get to meet Slug this time. I talked with ANT and Mac Lethal for about ten minutes at the OKC show last year.

By the way, my boys 8 Bit Cynics (www.myspace.com/8bitcynics) are opening up for Grieves and Mac Lethal in OKC next month. I'm glad to see them getting to play with someone with as many connections as Mac. If you want the mp3s of all of 8 Bit's stuff, PM me and I'll get it to you.

I too agree... I kept 5 songs from it, and all of them except "Leave It All Behind" have featured artists, which is usually a product of them outshining Phonte and bringing something more to the table.

I don't mind Phonte as a singer when it's something like the "Paper Chaser" hook for Playaz Circle. This type of album is wayyyy too out there.

Needless to say... with the star-power Phonte and Nicolay have, I was severely disappointed. When evaluating Phonte's illustrious career, this album will surely be an afterthought.

No doubt. And It just pains me so much because they have both grown so much since Connected. Nic has become an AMAZING producer, Connected was great stuff but Time:Line with Kay had some of the best beats I've heard in quite some time.

Phonte as well, he grew lyrically a lot, less battle rapish type stuff, more clever stuff... I was really looking forward to the album thinking it was finally the reunion of these two super power... and instead I get an above-average R&B album as opposed to a ground-breaking hip-hop album.

This is foshure the best song on the album though... Muhsinah single-handedly carries the track vocally, and kills it on the hook. Darien Brockington's parts add a great element... and while Tiggalo's vocals suffer on the high Percy Miracle notes, he adds a decent voice to the track when he isn't trying to do that foolish ****. His rapping verse on the track is classic Tay... merkin' the hell outta that ho. Oh yeah... Nicolay's beat is one of the best I've everrrr heard. That **** puts such a bop in my rhythm. The song is quite amazing. Please download it...

That was my favorite when I heard it on the sampler and it still is. Easily the best on the album for me.
