I root against the Patriots because pretty much everyone in New England are huge Patriots homers now, even though none could name more than 2 players from their '96 super bowl team.

Sure they could....they'd all say Bledsoe, Bruschi, McGinest...and then they'd probably try to make themselves seem smart and be all: "Seymour, Ted Washington, Vrabel" lol.

I generally root against the Astros... I don't really care about the other sports enough to root against the other teams.

Not exactly hometown, but I root against UNC, Duke, Wake, and NC St.

IM a buccaneers and Magic fan who roots against the Bears and Bulls mostly because family and friends bash me for liking my teams and rub it in my face when things go wrong for my teams or right for theirs.

I like the White Sox and root against the cubs so I guess that could count as well.

I root against the Broncos. Can't really say why, I just always have, even when we had season tickets. I'm pretty impartial to the other teams in the area.

I used to root against the Bears late in the season during one of their many 4 win seasons. But that was to improve draft position.....which of course they would WIN some meaningless game and drop from the 2 slot down to like 7! Just to spite me!

But that doesn't count. I of course root against the White Sox, but if I didn't have two teams here I would prolly root for them. I also root against the Blackhawks, just cuz I dispise the ownership.

I rooted against the rams while under the reign of martz. They'll have to earn my trust back with the new leadership.

When they agitate me enough to be boring to watch... watching the other team doing the right things is a lot better.

I have 3 older brothers that live in Dallas along with myself. Im the only Cowboys fan. They're 49er fans and root against Dallas.

No matter how terrible a season my Boys have had the last 10 years, I've never rooted for them to lose to improve draft position. I ALWAYS want them to win. Even in a 5-11 season, if they pull one out on Sunday, I feel so much better going to work on Monday morning after a win.

nothing worse then winning a meaningless game in New Orleans on a mis-handled field goal that somehow the team still makes and causes you to pick 9th when if you had missed the field goal and lost to the saints you would pick 2nd and have either Williams or Ferguson.

Being a lifelong Reds fan, I have always hated the Dodgers. This is because when I was a little kid in the 70's they were bitter rivals usually fighting it out for the division crown. Its not the same now that they aren't in the same division and both have been down for a while, but I will still always root against them.

I also hate UCLA, since before I fell in love with Nebraska in 1982(primarily because of the option running prowess of Turner Gill), I worshipped Charles and Marcus and USC.
