Re: Official iPod Thread
Ok I have a question. I'm sorry if this has been answered already or if it is really stupid.
I used to have an iPod mini. For Christmas I recieved a Video iPod, and gave the mini to my brother. All the songs on my iTunes transfered to my new iPod. I have downloaded a few videos and such to it aswell.
What I was wondering is, is is possible to have 2 iPods on the same iTunes?
Meaning, can I still update my brother's mini with my iTunes that I use for my Video iPod, and not lose the videos? Will all my music just get transfered to the mini, and not the video? I'm just afraid that I will lose all my videos that I paid for.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.Comment

Re: Official iPod Thread
Yeah, you can sync two ipods with the same iTunes. For a while, i was syncing a shuffle (for workouts) and a mini (everything else). You won't lose any content from your itunes from syncing multiple ipods. The Mini, in fact, won't even recognize the videos, won't transfer them, and won't affect them at all.Last edited by elTodd; 12-29-2006, 11:09 AM.Comment

Re: Official iPod Thread
xrob, if you do not have your iTunes set to sync songs to your iPod then yes you can copy the other songs to the iPod without erasing the songs already on there. By Syncing you force the iPod to have the same songs as the iTunes library has...thats why I do mine manually so it doesn't force the iPod to have the same songs.Comment

Re: Official iPod Thread
I know this has been asked many times before, but I don't want to go back through all the pages to find it..
But, my iPod has been acting up. A lot. And, since I have 3-yr. warranty on it I'm just going to take it back to Best Buy and get a new one, but what are some software programs that will store my music and videos that I have on my current iPod onto my laptop so I can transfer them to the new one I plan to get?

Re: Official iPod Thread
Ok, I just used Tune Tools to pull off all my songs/videos/etc onto my new laptop. I've got them all loaded into itunes and everything and my computer is recognizing my ipod, but I'm not getting the options to sync the ipod to my new library. I'm just trying to replace the old library on the ipod with the new one from the new computer. Any ideas?PS4: aBayBates

Re: Official iPod Thread
I bought a video ipod and sync it with itunes from my friend D's computer. Then I went over my friends M's house and although he has itunes they download songs from limewire and import them in windows media player so I synced the songs I wanted from M's computer to my ipod using windows. The songs and videos are on my ipod but I can't view or use them. I am able to view them thru my computer. So I'm trying to write the video and songs from windows onto my ipod and still keep all the music from D's itunes library. Is there anyway possible to combine the 2?XBox 1 and 360
