The Joker has been "revealed" much to the dismay of Greg Capullo.

I won't post the cover here, but Joker is featured on the cover of Batgirl for October.

The design combined with comments from Snyder has me concerned about the tone they're taking with the character, but we'll see how it goes.

I just scoured CBR to find out about all this and I like the new design. As for the direction Snyder is taking the Joker? It sounds like he's going to make the Joker out to be completely batcrap insane psycho with revenge on the brain.

It could work and considering Joker is Snyder's favorite villain of all time I think it'll turn out great. Snyder is one guy who I think has re-invigorated Batman outside of Grant Morrison the last few years. I have faith that he won't take the Joker character so far that there's no room for others to write him in their own way.

The whole face attached to the head with a belt strap is kinda...blah to me. I'm sure Joker will be great, but I still want to like the guy at the end of it. I don't need a grimdark Joker to illustrate that he is a crazy guy.

I'm still not sure what happend to his face. Harley stole it and put it on Deadshot then that was the last I can remember of it.

As I haven't been reading it I didn't notice how awful the new Superman looked. He's in Supergirl #12 and I noticed there. Didn't notice in #2 either.

Deadpool wasn't as fun this week. A very Saw like issue.

Didn't read Saga or Fatale yet but I expect they'll live up to their usual ridiculously high standards.

Looks like Marvel is going to a 32 page standard with the reboot,at least that'll justify the $4 price:

Also, I'm really REALLY annoyed at what they're doing to the X-Men in the marvel now reboot, and especially bringing the original 5 back...as themselves at that time into the present. WTF. I'll check this stuff out, but i've never been a fan of the Avengers, and adding them to X-Men books fighting X-Men enemies i don't know how to take.

I'm usually only a fan of the Avengers when the Infinity Gauntlet is involved for the most part.

Grew up on X-books though, and since Schism it's been all around horrible IMO.

We'll see what Marvel NOW! brings.

I expect Emma and/or Cyclops are going to be killed to conclude AvX. Cyke as some kind of tragic hero in the end seems to be the most predictable. A rebirth of the X-Men with his dying wish as a Phoenix, which is taken too literally and results in the originals coming forward through time.

As for other things the AVX storyline has dragged but I really liked the last issue of New Avengers where Cap set up a meeting with the old Illuminati members and Professor X had great resentment towards the group. The issue was fantastic in how it showed Cap trying to talk to Namor at the end. It was a quieter issue but a very good one.

Any fans of old school rocketeer? My old boss has some pics on FB of the signing we had at the comic shop I worked at (my first job)... will have to find them and post. Pretty cool.
