Based off discussion a few pages with Skreiks comments, I think The Black Mask would be perfect if they continue the mob storyline. If that means the mob storyline, it also means that Catwoman (Selina Kyle) would also be good since she has ties to the mob. Catwoman has ties to the Falcone family in the comics, but certain things have been left unanswered as to the ties she has.

Guys, I have posted my review on my blog. It's spoiler free until you get to the end, I have it capped off with Spoiler tags. I read a review this morning that after thinking this through, I do agree that if the movie ended about 30 minutes earlier they still could have achieved the ending they wanted but done differently.Comment

Without Harvey Dent's fall, the movie loses most of its emotional impact as Bruce decides that while he may be the hero that Gotham deserves, Harvey Dent is the hero that Gotham needs. Without Bruce choosing to go into exile to preserve Dent's "white knight" image for the people of Gotham to believe in, there's really no dramatic impact to the story at all other than Batman simply putting an end to the Joker's madness. Dent's fall forces Bruce to make the choice that Alfred tells him he's in a unique position to make earlier in the film - the right choice. I know people object to the Two-Face character being completely used up in this movie, but without Dent's fall there is no reason for Bruce to choose to become....wait for it....The Dark Knight.Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.

As for Catwoman, as for the way this franchise is going, if they were to introduce a female vigilante, the one I would choose is Huntress. She's the daughter of a slain mob boss who has set out on her own to bring down the mob. You can't say that doesn't belong in this franchise if they want to introduce another semi-hero.

Re: The Dark Knight Discussion
I wouldn't mind seeing Jim Carrey casted again in the Batman series. I think he could really take on the Joker role or the Riddler (again) and be more successful. I think he could give a more serious, twisted, sick side than he did in Batman Forever.[NYK|DAL|VT]

Aaron Eckhart did an excellent job with Harvey Dent and even Two-Face to see him go off so rather quickly. If anyone was used up, it was Scarecrow. To me, that made no sense to waste him the way they did at the beginning.
Black Mask would be cool, this group of writers seem would be able to use Penguin in the same way and get a much more recognizable name than the Black Mask. Whereas the Penguin is more of a underground night club runner, he always is in deep with those with the money so he fits in nicely with the mob tail. Heck through Penguin and Black Mask in together.

It makes you wonder if they are going to go the route to The Riddler as everyone is saying.

Re: The Dark Knight Discussion
If Riddler is in any of the sequels, I want the Batman: Animated Series Riddler. The serious guy with a strong intellect. It would be a good contrast to the more sadistic and maniac Joker. I don't want to see Riddler jumping up and down like a lunatic. He needs to be scary in a psychological way. A way that just makes you wonder how and why does this man with such a bright mind could be so enamored by causing pain to others.
And this, I think, can then tie into Batman's infatuation with the Riddler not using his intellect for good - something that apparently has somewhat changed in the current Batman comic series as Riddler is now sometimes an aid to Batman.
edit: I also think that the Riddler back story with the abusive father that never appreciated his intelligence is the strongest of his back stories and the most realistic when explaining a character's reasons to act out like he does. So much you can do with this guy that would make him very interesting instead of some baffling fool with riddles.Last edited by CMH; 07-21-2008, 03:12 PM."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied.
