Bale is, hands down, the best Batman AND Bruce Wayne, not that he had much, if any, competition. Keaton did not pull of the Bruce Wayne role at all. He came off as awkward and, for the lack of a better word, nerdy. His Batman was alright for what the scripts gave him. He never really had a big challenge, unlike Bale's Batman had, so its hard to compare them on that front. But yeah, when I look at Keaton's Batman, I don't get the sense that he could easily kick my ***. With Bale, I definitely do.

I'll put my name under the side that think Bale's character, Batman/Wayne, were the best. He's got the voice to pull off the dark Batman, yet can make it seem more...human, when he's Bruce, and has the physical qualities to pull off both as well.Comment

There was also something that dealt with Scarecrow, where the two of them teamed up to kidnap Gotham's mayor, and after they were done Scarecrow turned on Joker with his gas, it didn't affect the Joker at all (no fears or inner demons), and then the Joker promptly beat Scarecrow with a chair.
Sounds like a good plot to me! The Joker's origin being tragic yet still having the "it's Batman's fault" dynamic, and then tying up the Scarecrow loose end from the first movie. Who knows? they could do a flashback...start off with Batman studying the card, flashing back to that one incident, and BAM.
They have to go into some Joker background...because if they don't it would leave fans wanting to know: "Why'd the Joker leave his card for batman to find?"
