And just, if in the future, they decide to bring Robin into this...they better, BETTER, make Robin like the comic book Robin. He was younger, more timid, less skilled, more immature, etc...than the Chris O'Donnell Robin. One thing that always pissed me off, as I was always a Robin fan, for some reason.Comment

Yeah, and like I said I was always more of a fan of Robin than Batman...maybe because he was like a teenager and I was young when I watched so it just seemed cooler to root for the young guy, but if they bring Robin in...I'll be pissed if he's not a teenager...C.O.D was just too old to make it believeable.Comment

I don't think too many people would be interested in seeing a 12 year old boy running around as Robin in a Batman movie, I think that's why they picked O'Donnell in the first one. I hope they do have a Robin in one of these movies eventually and I hope he is younger than O'Donnell as well. He's still got to be able to fight the baddies though, and anything younger than 16 might be a little weird on-screen. This origin was greatly expanded upon in the 1988 graphic novel, The Killing Joke, written by Alan Moore. In that story, the Joker was an unnamed engineer who quit his job at a chemical company to become a stand-up comedian, only to fail miserably. Desperate to support his pregnant wife, he agreed to guide two criminals into the plant for a robbery. During the planning, the police came and informed him that his wife had just died in a household accident. Grief-stricken, the engineer tried to withdraw from the plan, but the criminals strong-armed him into keeping his commitment to them. At the plant, the criminals made him don a special mask to become the infamous Red Hood. Unknown to the engineer, this was simply a way to implicate any accomplice as the mastermind of a crime to divert attention from themselves. Once inside, they almost immediately blundered into security personnel and a violent shootout and chase ensued. The criminals were gunned down and the engineer found himself confronted by Batman, who was investigating the disturbance. In panicked desperation, the engineer fell into a toxic waste vat and was swept through a pipe leading to the outside. Outside, he discovered, to his horror, that the chemicals permanently stained his skin chalk white, his lips ruby red and his hair bright green. This turn of events, compounded by the man's misfortunes on that one day, drove him completely insane and resulted in the birth of the Joker.

During the Knightfall saga, Scarecrow and the Joker team up and kidnap the mayor of Gotham City. After Batman rescues the mayor, Scarecrow turns on the Joker and uses his fear gas to see what Joker is afraid of. To Scarecrow's surprise, however, the gas has no effect on Joker, who, in turn, beats Scarecrow with a chair. This suggests that, due to his insanity, the Joker literally has no fear, or at least has no hidden demons.

I just mean I see why they picked an older Robin before, because really, if they even pick a 16 year old, it would still look a little weird if he were fighting some big baddies like Bane or Killer Croc and even Freeze. I think it would work with guys like the Riddler though. I guess it depends on the build of the actor as well.
I personally prefer the Tim Drake Robin over Grayson or Todd. I hope when they do cast a Robin, he has the personality of Drake but the name and origin of Grayson.

I personally hope Robin is never introduced to the franchise. Robin debuted in the comics when Batman wasn't really depicted as the character we see in the comics and movies today, and I've just felt he's never fit in with the darker take on the character. If they want to get Robin on the big screen they should make a Teen Titans film or something.Comment
