Just got done seeing it and I was truly blown away. Everyone gave tremendous performances and I was watching every second closely whenever the Joker was in the scene.

Re: The Dark Knight Discussion
I had no idea Katie Holmes wasn't back until this morning listening to Stern. How come she didn't resign?
Man I need to stop reading things about it before I overhype it. But it seems you guys had it so hyped up and it still didn't disappoint.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Discussion
I just saw the movie, and it was terrific.
But, I want to say one thing:
SpoilerAssuming Bruce Wayne uses that "deeper" voice when only in the Batman costume so he doesn't reveal his true identity to others, when he was talking to Lucious (Morgan Freeman) who already knows Bruce is Batman, he used that voice when they were in the room with all of those screens and the sonar with all of the microphones. Why did he use this voice? I guess I'm the only one that noticed that flaw.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Discussion
Saw it at midnight and WOW! I can't even believe how good it was. Heath was just phenomenal and is certainly Oscar deserving as well as Nolan. It felt like a amazing crime drama wrapped in a amazing superhero film which is a good thing.
If thier is one thing you do this weekend see this film!-JoshComment

TDK is currently #4 on IMDb, and of course it's the midnight showings' votes. Re: The Dark Knight Discussion
SpoilerNo, he does it because he is 2 people Batman and Bruce. It is almost like split personalities. When he is wearing the batman suit he is Batman and the voice will always be the batman voice. At least that is my opinion.Last edited by Scottdau; 07-18-2008, 04:33 PM.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Discussion
That makes sense... I guess I was under impression he needed a more menacing voice as batman so he had something to alter his voice as a part of the suit... But you make a great point with the split personalitiesComment

Re: The Dark Knight Discussion
I think the Batman voice is as annoying as the next person, but you do have to understand that the purpose of the voice is not to be cool or bad-***... it's to disguise Bruce Wayne. Nothing more.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Completely a different person than Bruce Wayne - so the Batman voice would be like with anyone. The only time it didn't really matter was after Rachel's death - he didn't have the mask on and was a broken man.Originally posted by EWRMETSMaybe the best post in OS's history.
