Yeah he was great, but the Joker I think won an award for his role.

BTW Cesar Romero was great as the Joker. I saw a movie of his when he was a lot younger and in his prime (Cisco Kid and the Lady) and he was so charismatic that he brought the level of the script up to the point where it was highly enjoyable. If only he was still young and in his prime in the mid 60s. He'd have been even better IMO.

Still, Mark Hammil's Joker on the B:TAS show was the best and if he looked more like the character and was younger i'd love to see him do it on screen. Oh well....
Indeed. I think this will happen.

Yeah, that is what I'm guessing happens as well. We see Dent throughout the movie and then one of the final scenes is probably the court scene where Dent gets acid in his face.

Anyone else think they may take a liberty with the comic and have the Joker be the one who puts the acid in Dent's face? Just seems like something they might do.

One thing I hope happens in this movie is somehow the Joker gets away at the end or even just gets sent to prision. I thought it was a huge mistake to kill him in the first batman movie.

Same thing with the trainwreck that was Spiderman 3, they should have never killed off Venom.

Venom isn't dead and with comic book movies you can pretty much do whatever you want with a character and explain it away later.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

I can almost promise you that they won't kill the Joker. Nolan is a big comics book fan and we all know Joker just goes to jail and escapes in the comics.

Yeah I do like this Joker, so the Trailer again. He is dark and just a plain nut, who doesn't care about anything, even his own life.

I think its just a Mob thug that does the acid deed and I think the last scene of the movie is the Two-Face reveal in a bar.

I was 20 when the first Batman film came out and Jack's performance was great, but I expect Heath's Joker to destroy Jack's. Its not about age, but more a case of how much do you let nostalgia affect your judgment, and also your interpretation of what you think the character(s) is about.

IMO the graphic novel portrayal of these characters is much more in tune with how I would expect them to act given the trauma they've experienced, but then again I've always preferred Dystopian slants on various mythoi.

I watched Begins for like the 10th -15th time the other night and every time I see it, Cilian Murphy just gets better and better as the Scarecrow - despite the small amount of screen-time he gets - the last scene with him, is just badass.

Anyway, I saw the trailer last night in front of I Am Legend and I am super pumped now - seeing the Joker walking down the street with a semi-automatic is magical.

I got to see the 6-minute preview on the IMAX screen yesterday and DAMN.

I had seen a bootleg version of it, but holy crap looks so much better clear.
