It was funny when Toby pied Ryan.

Dilana took a song she didn't know,Won't Get Fooled Again by The Who (really what do these people listen to to not know some of these songs),just to play with Gilby and no one else wanted it.

On a somewhat related sidenote Storm's old band is a featured band on myspace.

Just a tip to anyone feeling shortchanged by the web episode -- you can see everyone perform their original lyrics. Just go to video.msn.com & do a video search on 'rockstar'. All of the performances are included -- just click on "More results..." to see them all.

The biggest surprise for me was Josh -- his lyrics were good (not great), but that was a much better rock vocal performance than I was expecting. I also liked Patrice's song, though I can't see SN releasing a song that includes "Hopscotch typical" in the chorus! But I thought it was very catchy. Storm's was okay, though it was hard to look past her opening the song with "Don't wanna be Madonna" -- ugh. And believe it or not, I sort of liked Zayra's song. Maybe its just because my expectations were really low. But then again, I've developed an appreciation for Zayra, just because she's so unpredictable and I genuinely like the way she re-arranges songs. Too bad she can't sing worth a lick, with the exception of a few stunning notes at the end of "Everybody Hurts".

She is from South Africa, so I'm sure her old school rock knowledge is limited. Don't count her out though. But yea, her lyrics were atrocious.

EDIT: Well I watched them all. I agree a lot with what edmus said, "Hopscotch"

I don't think so... I liked Toby's the best and it seemed to be the only one that got any kind of approving nod from Newsted. I was really surprised that I liked Josh's song so much, I wish he didn't look so much like a dork because I've liked his stuff the last couple weeks. I thought the worst of the bunch was Dilana, Patrice, and Jill. Jill kinda songs like she's about 20 years too late with her music IMO.

I still don't really care for Ryan, but I do like Lukas, Storm, and Toby quite a bit. It's definitely time for Zayra to go, she's entertaining, but she's is the worst of who's left. Patrice and Jill can go anytime also.

And so sad to see Josh revert back to his old form after such a strong showing with his original lyrics. I really thought that had something to do with Tommy Lee sitting in with him -- and Josh bored us all to death again.

At this point, I think Lukas is the one to beat, though Storm & Magni still have a shot. Storm was surprisingly off-key through much of "Champions" though. I know the band really likes Dilana too, but her songwriting had to raise a big question mark.

Surprised Ryan was in the bottom 3, but I loved the double hatchet. Maybe Tommy can order one of those up for Z-Girl and Patrice.

^That is what made it great LOL! The performance was just SOOOOOOOOO, unexpected and over the top that you had to laugh while loving how he sang.
