Re: 24 Season 6 (NO SPOILERS)

I think for me to keep interest in this show, the 24 team is going to have to lose the loose based storylines.

How in the world does Jack, being out of the country for so long, drop from a helicopter, have no problem in finding where Audry is located and then pay a quick visit? There is the ridiclous and then there's the Jack Bauer ridiculous.

Also, what's beginning to be way too obvious is the circumstances in the show running parallel with the time period. IE..the bomb will hit in 45 minutes...yup that's right when the show ends. Unless they can smooth that out the 24 principle is becoming a noose to the show.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

I didn't think the finale was that bad. Not great, but this entire season hasn't been great either. There was a lot of drama though and I hope the directors/producers go in a different direction next year. Season 1 had drama with Jack's wife dying, but not like this.

When Doyle was lying on the ground on the beach and shouted to Jack - "It was a fake that blew up in my face", I cracked up. Those weren't exact words, but it was something like that. Talk about stating the obvious!

I thought the finale was pretty good. I liked Season 4's better, where he walked off into the sunset.

I really hope next season is a completely new 24. If a "spoiler" I heard is true, then no matter what happens next season, I will love it.

My favorite line of the whole episode:
Nadia: Your brother sacrificed his life for me. He was very brave..

Milo's bro (in straight no spin zone): No he wasn't. He was so in love with you!

            Nadia's face: (Damn..)

I thought they were sending someone in from division to relieve her hours ago? She always needs someone telling her "you made the right choice" or "it's the right thing to do".

Was I the only one who thought Josh was going to unload his gun on grandpa?

He said, "The component was a fake...It blew!" Even funnier. I also laughed.

I also thought it was funny when Suvarov was receiving confirmation that the oil platform was destroyed and he said something like, "Well, I do believe we are satisfied that the component was destroyed." He then shows his laptop to his aides and one of them looks like he was just asked if he wanted to see Shrek 3. He basically shrugs and does one of those reluctant chin nods.

He's basically asked if they should stop World War 3 and he shrugs? It amused me.

Exactly. I'm willing to suspend a little bit of disbelief, but this crap is just awful.

                Terrible, terrible season.

Who was to say the component was actually on the Oil Platform? They had no actual evidence that Philip Bauer and the Chinese brought it with them onto the platform.

We know it was on there because they showed Chang give it to Philip Bauer, but there is no way the US/Russia Governments could know whether or not it was indeed on there.

I was thinking that too, but Suvarov also mentioned something about how their intelligence revealed that a Chinese submarine was headed to the oil rig to pick them up.

Yeah, but that still doesn't "prove" that the chip was with Philip Bauer or Chang. The submarine could have been picking them, and then taking them up to the shore. They go get the chip, come back, and the submarine takes them back to China.

If I were Suvarov, I wouldn't have stopped the attack without 100% conformation.

I also thought it was ridiculous when Daniels was ordering the air strike. He blows up a decommisioned oil platform and the Russians are supposed to believe that the component went with it after all of his previous lies? They had that convenient plot device where the Russians intercepted the Chinese communication for a reason. So very convenient...

The fake component blowing up in doyle's face was hilarious. But this has been the worst season of 24. They need to mix things up for next season. The writers for this season did a horrible job.

"It blew!", "Damn-it!", and "Get the kid Jack, get the kid" said by Ricky "Sir Conan Doyle" Shroeder all made me laugh... he just was not a good actor. They need to find a great actor to be the lead field agent--Doyle sucked, Kim's boy-toy too... Curtis was cool until this year. I miss Tony! A good casting job can fix a lot of problems this season had, but also stronger "weak" storylines like the past seasons... there's always going to be those soap-opera parts every year of 24, but season 6's was just absurdly boring and dumb
