I think Season 4 had the most "Holy ****" moments....

    Season 4
    Season 1
    Season 5
    Season 3
    Season 2
    Season 6

    ...maybe...

The thing is...it's like choosing between your kids. Any of the seasons (except six, who is the runt of the litter) could be #1 at any given time.

And it's funny because, if you looked at Season 6 by itself with no precedent to judge it by, it would be absolutely great. We should feel lucky to have five seasons that were just so damn unbelievable that it makes season 6 pale in comparison.

That is true, but I think season 3 had the most powerful scenes in one season.

          The roulette game.

          Chappelle.

The chase/jack scene at the end. (Maybe just because I was a fan of Chase this was a good scene to me)

Those first two are two of the most memorable and powerful moments in 24's history, IMO.

Worst death by a villain in 24 history.

Season 3 could have been great, but I really hated how they basically ignored the ending in Season 2, pretty much had their most climactic and badass moment BEFORE the season finale, and had the villain die such a quick and ignoble death. The season finale of the third season was so tame as a result.

Yeah, I agree. That was the first season where I started watching the show. I've gone back and seen all the others, but Season 4 is definitely my favorite.

I also thought season 3 was really good too.

I haven't seen season 4 yet, but I will after fathers day. I liked season 3 as well.

I didn't know Jack's gf on the show, Kim Raver, had a cameo part in the Night at the Museum with Ben Stiller. I just watched the DVD with my kids last night.

Season 6 DVD is coming December 6th. The bonus features haven't been announced.

I have Seasons 1-5, but I'm leaning towards skipping this one. I want to check out the bonus features though.

Glenn Morshower (Agent Pierce on 24) is joining the cast of FNL next season.

24 will have a female president next season

I'm going to be turned off if we get a mole storyline with the President next season or any storyline involving family drama.

I hope there are no moles, no stupid, out of nowhere deaths/plot twists, no super obvious plot twists (seriously, Audrey is dead!), no super threat to the world, and no 15 different super villains in a year.

Re: 24 Season 6 (NO SPOILERS)

The one encouraging factor for me regarding Season 7 right now is that the producers have been keeping things quite hush-hush unlike previous seasons where they would actually have some previews at the end of the season. And there's nothing to suggest any continuation like past seasons. The Jack and Audrey thing is most likely done, and most of the key guys from past seasons like Buchanan has been kicked off (though I hear Chloe is making a return, even with having the baby and all). It's exciting, this show definitely needs some new blood.

Here's what I pulled off Wiki:
According to a TV Guide interview with co-executive producer Manny Coto, "Jack starts next season in a very different place than any season so far. Let's put it this way: I wouldn't be surprised if there's no CTU next year." He also says that "There will not be a ticking clock on a nuclear device. We're hewing much closer to real life: tighter, more personal, more difficult for Jack. There may even be a plot thread that doesn't take place on U.S. soil. In a sense, it's a reboot — in location and personnel. We're going to be introducing a new stable of characters, along with a couple of old ones. Jack's not living under an alias. He's found a place he thinks he belongs and a job he enjoys doing that doesn't involve the government. What's also refreshing is the choice of villain: It's not a Muslim terrorist. In fact, it's not a terrorist at all. And the character is fascinating, someone with a supremely dark past who's done something horrific and whose ambition is to regain his stature in the world." [4]

Is the Fox exec an idiot? This season has clearly been the worse of them, perhaps worse than Season 3 (I will buy the Season 6 DVDs and rewatch it before I make judgment, but for now, I deem it the worst). It starts off with a bang but everything went downhill. Palmer gets attacked? Mole again? Everything was so cliche and expected. Fortunately the Fox exec isn't writing this show, or else I would stop watching 24.
