Don't be too quick to judge on that just yet. Maybe the others did experiments on themselves, and certain things happened to certain people. People are always saying they dumped the Ethan super strength plot; however, I don't think they have just yet.

You have Richard Alpert who doesn't age, Mikhail who doesn't die, and Ethan with super strength.

Originally, yes. But, Cuse mentioned in February or March that the statue will have to be a Season Four story.

He said the same about Libby (yes, they still have information to reveal about her - remember she's the one that gave Desmond the boat and there's still the question on how she got from that point to the mental ward or vice versa) and Jacob.

In fact, Cuse made it clear that Jacob will be an integral part of Season Four.

Seriously, it would have been noted in Lostpedia and all other websites if that were Sun and Jin on the plane with him. I'd have to go back and watch it, but I've not heard of this until just now. I'm guessing they were just extras.
Hahaha. I thought it was Sun and Jin at first too, but my wife and I watched it again and it's definately not. Just two random asian people.

Thank you. And I was wondering about Libby. I was fearing that she would be tossed aside and that loose string would never be tied up. I also heard Chewbacca (aka Anna-Lucia) will be back for a few shows as well.

I had the same reaction when I heard that too. It doesn't sound like she'll be back in a full time role, but apparently we haven't seen the last of this she-man.

Well if she's in too many episodes with a drunken depressed Jack, you'll have to pull a Clockwork Orange on me and tie me to the chair and pry my eyes open in order to get me to watch it.

After this finale, they are so many questions that need answers. I predict it's Ben in the coffin. I'm going to be jumping all over the place:

                  - I was surprised by the twist at the end although I found it odd Jack was using a new cell phone.

                  - Walt looked like he aged 3 years yet his voice was the same as before. There's speculation Michael was asked to return but he turned down the offer.

                  - Sawyer is back to bad *** mode after he got soft during the season. I actually felt bad for Tom when Sawyer blasted him.

                  - Sayid's scissor kick kill is one of the best in Lost history. It was a Jack Bauer type move.

                  - Mikail is the new Mustafa. He simply won't die. He has become a favorite of mine.

                  - I didn't care for Charlie until Greatest Hits. His story arch had come to an end and went out like a hero. I don't feel too bad for Monaghan since he's dating Evangeline Lilly.

                  - Lilly has less acting range than Jenna Jameson. She only has the normal face and the puzzled face. Great un-intentional comedy.

                  - Nice to see the Dharma van make another appearance. I was surprised when Hurley appeared.

                  - Richard and The Others said they were going to the Temple. I wonder if this has anything to do with the 4 toe statue.

                  - I believe Ben when he said to the Losties "We are the good guys". It looks like we will see another group enter the Island next season. I think the Losties and The Others will work as a team.

                  - I enjoyed this season more than Season 1 and 2.

                  - I can't wait for the DVD. Season 4 doesn't start until February but I'm sure the DVD's will be released in time for the holiday shopping season.

                  - Hopefully the Lost videogame come out this year.

That would work. That makes a lot of sense.

I don't buy a character-centric episode being someone else's vision because that just seems like a poor decision to me.

However, I will buy into the possibility that all of Lost is someone's vision or someone's recollecting of the events on the Island.

I only say this because we have a flash-forward. How can a story be told in the future if we are in the present?

I'm not saying that's what's happening. I actually hope it isn't. I just hope it's the writers taking the liberty of saying, "This is our story and we'll reveal the parts in whatever order we choose." But, it's a scenario that could work.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. I just watched the finale again and I definitely agree with the Back to the Future-esq theory.

Jack's decision to leave the Island this way leads to altering everyone in the entire world's future and all that space-time continuum nonsense.

Somehow Ben and Locke are aware of the entire scenario, they've lived it once already like Desmond and have gotten back to the same sequence again, and are pushing hard for Jack to change his actions but they can't tell him the reasoning directly.

It could be very interesting in the long run because Kate could become one of the biggest enemies because it appears that she has a very enjoyable life (outside of witnessing Jack's misery) on the path that comes from them getting off the Island via Naomi's freighter. She's no longer a fugitive, she has someone of importance (hence her "He'll be wondering where I am" line) and might end up trying to make sure that this course does come to fruition. Perhaps this is what she wants, and every other time she's gone through the sequence she ends up in prison when she finally gets off the Island. This may be her only chance at freedom and she'll do anything (killing friends/loved ones on the Island) to make sure it happens.
