I've been a huge fan since the first episode was released, seen every epi to date, but I kinda agree with you Pared, they are stringing too much S too slowly along. As for the Walt and pop question, I hear later this season they will adress them.
Heroes has surpased this show on my favorite "to watch list" I must admit, but I still do have a spot for Lost in me. Me the wife and the kids still watch it religiously, hehe, but we get more pumped up for Heroes epi's nowadays.
Maybe in a few epi's things will get crazy and Lost will return to number one for us. you never know.
I agree about Heroes surpassing this show... IMO, I like it better because it continuously raises questions while answering others and PROGRESSING THE STORY! Damn it, there are so many things unanswered now on Lost that I am lost.I don't even remember some of the questions I had in Season 1 because every episode is introducing new questions... geez...

This episode was just plain sad. But anyway, I watched it again with my wife tonight....and noticed that when the dudes that kicked his arse on the beach lifted up his sleeve, he only had the asian symbols tattoo....
What the heck is up eith the number 5 and the other tattoo. Maybe Jack goes to Disneyland in a flashback, Goes on a Whiskey Bender, and tattoos his little league # on his arm........So I am sure we will have to have another heinous episode about the number 5.....Maybe The Count from Sesame street will make an appearance.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

For those that are wishing for more Michael and Walt it looks like there might be trouble in paradise. A local radio show here recently talked about a rumour floating around that the actor that plays Michael wants off the show. While the producers are trying to convince him to stay the writers are now trying to figure out what to do with his and his sons character. If they come back with another actor portraying Michael this show will have jumped the shark even if they didn't want to.
Boltman, I agree. "Heroes" is now #1 in our household. We also used to watch Smallville but I lost interest last season with some of the rediculous stories and obvious story holes.
And while Lost does make you "think" it's not in a good way. Not recently anyways. They have thrown so much crap out that it's no longer thinking or analysing but basically manic theory creation. There is not one person on this planet that is even remotely close to knowing what's going on in this story. Why? Because the writers themselves have admitted that they're flying by the seat of their pants each episode. They had no plans to get rid of Libby, Ana-Lucile and Mr.Echo. But those two broads got into too much trouble with DUI's and Mr.Echo wanted to go back home to the UK to pursue his stage career. So they have to write them out somehow. It also forced them to make Michael a bad guy. The actor that plays him was on this same radio show and he told the host that he wasn't supposed to shoot anyone initially but things got changed for obvious reasons.
A good mystery will give the viewers enough clues so that they feel like they can figure it out. But anymore, I feel that I'm "LOST" with all the new information they seem to spew out every week. I'm not even sure what the whole purpose of the show is anymore. Is it still about the island? Is it about the characters? Is it about human experimentation? Is it supernatural? What? I mean, we haven't even figured out what the black smoke is. How is it that it knows our lives and thoughts?
I guess what bothers me the most about this show is that the writers promised that all the answers would be believable and they wouldn't be aliens or supernatural. If they weren't lying it's going to be pretty freakin' tough to explain the black smoke and how Desmond went back in time or can now see the future.

For those that are wishing for more Michael and Walt it looks like there might be trouble in paradise. A local radio show here recently talked about a rumour floating around that the actor that plays Michael wants off the show. While the producers are trying to convince him to stay the writers are now trying to figure out what to do with his and his sons character. If they come back with another actor portraying Michael this show will have jumped the shark even if they didn't want to.
Boltman, I agree. "Heroes" is now #1 in our household. We also used to watch Smallville but I lost interest last season with some of the rediculous stories and obvious story holes.

I mean, come on. I'm just as fed up as the next person...but that has nothing to do with the writers. That's the actors doing something, forcing the writers to spring something on us viewers. I think the show has been really good all season, especially after returning. I disliked last season very much, this season has been really good IMO. I think part of the reason I disliked last season was because it had so much Locke and Echo mumbo jumbo in it, this season hasn't has as much of that stuff, pretty much just Locke and Ecko's episodes early on and that's probably why I'm enjoying it a lot more.
This past episode was good too for me. I was shocked when Cindy showed up. I don't need all the answers right now, just the fact that she and those kids are one of "them" and happy was very cool to see.

You seem to be blaming that on the writers. How is it their fault that the two girls are idiots, and Ecko wanted off the show? Of course they're going to have to come up with something spur the moment when three of the actors(actresses) don't want to be on the show, or are bringing some sense of bad publicity to the show?

And perhaps you are one of the few who is doing some serious thinking but I don't see how. There are WAY too many clues and mysteries involved now to have any kind of rational thought to how everything is related and rolled together. I mean, we have over 20 characters now with back stories that have blurred the view beyond recognition.
Take the last episode for instance. Now we have several people interpreting Jacks tatoos to mean that he is really the leader of the Others and the whole experiment. Surely this has crossed your mind too. Which goes to show that everyone that is really into this show takes their thoughts and theories on several, several different paths trying to determine what's going on. It's like our theories are 1000 rats in a giant, convuleted maze all searching for different exits.
It's not like the game clue that has 8 suspects, 10 weapens and 10 rooms (or whatever the amount is). We have 100 suspects, 1000 weapens, 1000 rooms, 10,000 motives and 400 mysteries. There's no possible way that anyones theories can resemble anything close to organized. It's a jarbled mess that turns into wild speculation and 'pasta tossing' hoping something sticks.
What's really going to make me laugh is when the series finally wraps up and the truth is revealed we're going to have thousands of people come on here saying "I was right!" because they got one blind shot theory to stick out of the 1000 truths that will prevail in the end.Comment

I realize that Lost has a beginning and end. This has been confirmed and Cuse, Lindeloff, and Abrams have not exactly disappointed in the past.
I rather a mystery that I can't solve than an obvious plot that doesn't require me to sit and watch 60 minutes every week to try to figure out.
The fact that I continue to jump back and forth is what has me come back to the show next week.

I like LOST, I had a blow up last season about it and everyone bitching about it. It fills an hour (45 minutes with a DVR) of my life, and it entertains me. that's all I'm looking for is entertainment, take me on the journey and do what you want, once I like a show I'm hooked for the life of the show (usually). I watched the last season of the freaking DREW CAREY show for crissakes, and that was pushed around so much I had to actually make an effort. I'll be watching LOST until it ends.Comment
