I think Locke has evolved into one of the more interesting characters on the show. His transformation from a contemplative and thoughtful individual into a total badass who just doesn't give a damn has been pretty remarkable. The old Locke would have never played the chess game without analyzing its ramifications first, would have never pressed "77" to blow up the comm center, would have never thrown Mikhail through the sonic fence, would have never blown up the submarine....it's like the man has decided he just doesn't care anymore and I'm loving it.

If Locke's father is really on the island and was delivered from this "magic box" that Ben spoke of....then was Jack's dad really on the island? Kate's horse? Hurley's buddy Dave from the nuthouse? Eko's brother? All of those seem to have been summoned by the island in order for the Losties to finally make peace with the memories that haunt them the most - what makes them "flawed." We assumed they were visions or hallucinations....but what if they were really there? Locke's dad certainly seems to be really there, and Ben did mention that this "magic box" makes whatever you want to see appear.

Otherwise how did Locke's dad get on the island? And why was he tied up and looking like he'd been beaten? Did he arrive on the island a long time ago and con the Dharma folks? Did he con the Others? Or was he really summoned out of this "magic box" by whatever "communion" Locke has with the island?

I love this show.

- Another greap episode last night. I'm starting to think Locke's Dad is also Sawyer's dad. I have no idea how he got on the Island.

- Ben said nobody could get off the Island. I wonder where did Walt and Michael go then.

- There was an Easter Egg last night. Cooper and Mr. Widmore both drink McCutccheon wine.

- During the episode Numbers, a person fell when Hurley went to visit his accountant. I wonder if that person is Locke.


Next episode looks really interesting. Paulo and Nikki could be others. Kiele Sanchez has signed on for a pilot so I wouldn't be surprised if she dies next week.

Well they must have contact with the outside world still or else they are not going to have those food & supply drops any more. Locckes dad is definitely sawyers dad.

The other thing that I found interesting is that Ben said he was one of the few that were born on the island. So this "experiment" has been going on for 40+ years? Most of the "others" were brought in. Like the nurse lady that Jack seems to like, she was brought in recently.

Last week the guy with the eye patch said he was recruited to be in the project. He started to say that Locke wasn't recruited because he was..."Paralyzed"(although he never got the words out).

So they are recruiting people and bringing them in from the outside....All these people are intertwined. Jack's Dad is old enough to be the common thread...Jack's dad is running the island?? Ben is Jacks Brother. I'm just throwing that out there.

Something still tells me that at the end of the day, there was no plane crash, these people are brought together because they are related or likely have common genes and the island whether a real island or facility is doing some genetic experiments on nature vs. nurture.

Yeah, I think it was a window washer that fell. And Locke was visiting his dad in an apartment, wasn't Hurley visiting his accountant/lawyer? Could be wrong though..

I also thought that as well, but the others actually see the plane crash from their point of view. But that doesn't mean that some of the Lostee's actually were on that plane. The only character I remember that actually has any memory of the crash is Kate. She's the only one the audience has seen that actually witnessed the plane break off while everyone else blacked out.


I do agree that they are doing experiments and are always watching each other. Now maybe someone on the island forsaw a plane crashing just like Desmond but who knows.

Whoa, crazy episode. Now we see Sun in that preview hit sawyer making us think she's backstabber. Remember when Sun was on the sail boat and she was confronted by one of the others? That lady knew who she was, but they never explained it, so next week will give background on that.

When Locke was in the closet they called Kate and Sayid, "Austin and Jarrah." Are those code names? Or are those they're real names? It's almost as if they know these certain Lostee's personally like they did with Sun.

Plus there are only certain Lostee's that have had images from their flash backs appear on the island.

Jack - His dad
Kate - black horse
Sayid - jacked up cat
Hurley - his imaginary buddy

There might be more that I'm forgetting but i can even include Locke's dad as something from his flashbacks has appeared on the island.

All the others know who they are, they have info on everyone on the plane crash.
