I imagine it becomes a turning point in the series... we'll begin to have a mixture of flashbacks as well as flash forwards mixed in and it could get to the point that we're never told which is which.

It seems that everyone forgot that Kate told Jack that she "has to get back to him" when she left him at the end.
The "him" could be Sawyer...

While there are still a lot of interesting mysteries left, the biggest one (in some people's eyes) is out of the bag now. While people are still gushing over the amazing finale right now, once everything sinks in, I feel like we will see a lot of people mention what I'm saying in the future.
I also don't buy that the future can change...I think Jack will get off and wander regretting his decision to leave. I thought him talking about his dad was interesting, since while he saw him dead, he was "on" the island (likely smokey) and the coffin WAS empty.

So this whole smoke monster thing.....The smoke monster came to Locke in the form of Walt? Why Walt?
Didn't the writers of the show give the impression that Walt may have some psychic powers in season 1? The whole appearance of Walt to Locke seems out of place. Didn't Walt want off the island? So why would he help Locke stay.
The other comment I have is the Hurly VW bus rescue maneuver was cheezy. Smothered in Swiss Cheezy. Last time he needed to have people help him push it down a hill to get it started. And they made the impression that he drove it until the gas was gone, but oh well......Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

The more I think about it, the more the coffin could be Michael.
1) He was depressed before he got on the Island and his life was in the crapper. His ex-wife died and Walt may be the only person he had left. Something could have easily happened to Walt between the time he got off the <st1>lsland </st1>and the time of Michael’s death which would cause him not to attend. According to some of the Lost fan sites, the newspaper clipping says the man hung himself from a beam in a loft. Perhaps Walt died or disowned him, causing Michael to hang himself.

2) Jack says, “we have to go back!” and “we need to stop lying” at the end. I strongly believe that most of the Losties are still on the <st1>Island</st1> and that’s why Jack is tearing himself apart inside. Another 24/Lost shared cast-memember. The dark-haired female in the Looking Glass was a member of CTU who was thought to be a mole and was tortured.
