    Sirius Satellite Radio

My wife surprised me yesterday at work with a Sirius radio to listen to premier league games and to listen to World Soccer Daily from 1-3 and I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the World Soccer Daily show. The two guys that host it are knowledgeable and it touched on most all of the major leagues with lots of transfer info. I also really like Eminem's channel as well as the Old School rap channel. What are some of your guy's favorite channels? I was shocked that I got Howard Stern with no added cost per month. I figured they'd charge 5 or 10 extra a month for Howard.

Recently, I have been listening to Big 80's, Classic Vinyl, Backspin, and Howard100/101 for Howard and Bubba. On Classic Vinyl at 9AM M-F, they do the Beatles Fab Foursome where they play four Beatles-related songs in a row and give some background/linkage to the songs...pretty cool. I have also been getting into the 80's countdowns for each year, hearing songs that were popular back then that I haven't heard in awhile. Also, I really like to listen to the NFL channel once Training Camp starts and during the season. I like that they added the NBA channel, but I wish they had more exclusive shows like NFL, rather than the simulcast from the NBATV cable channel.

        Dave:

The two guys you heard yesterday aren't even the regular hosts. Steven Cohen, the English guy who talks very fast, is one of the regular co-hosts. But the other guy was a guest host as the other regular co-host, Nick Geber, is in Vegas announcing the World Series of Poker for radio and TV.

Wait until Nick returns. He is an Englishman like Steven, and they've known each other for years. They get into each other something fierce, and it's a great listen. Plus they just eat and breathe English football, which is great.

WSD is a great show. I listen to it on a podcast, a day late for each show. Glad you're digging it and your Sirius!

        Take care,

Well that's cool. I had no idea that one of them wasn't even the regular host. I also enjoyed getting to hear Winning Eleven spots. That was the icing on the cake.

My wife got me the 49.99 one to start off with because I don't have a lot of room in my car and I'm trading it in soon. I'm probably gonna get the Sportster around Christmas or so.

I haven't heard him during the soccer shows but Nick Geber has been outstanding covering the WSOP. The poker show he hosts is also very, very good.

When is sirius coming out with a portable player?

Rumor has it coming out by the end of the summer (September) and is currently in beta testing.

Whats the Maxim channel like? I've only heard bits and pieces of it.

Any well known guys host any shows on it?
