Seems so. I really hope NBC picks it up again, too many loose ends I think. (Taylor -> TMU? Street = Coach? Landry/Tyra? Baby? etc.)

The finale was a bit lukewarm, but I think it had to be. The writers were really stuck, as I think the finale had to be written as a compromise. There had to be enough loose ends to stimulate interest in a next season but also enough things resolved in case there is no next season.

Still a great show. NBC execs should be tarred and feathered if they don't return this show next season. It's the best show on TV, bar none.

Before I get into the Season 1 finale of Friday Light Nights, I'll pass along some relatively good news that has gone underreported: NBC ordered six more episodes of Lights thanks in large part, I hear, to the Peabody Award that the show received a week ago. Saved by a Peabody!

I liked the finale. I was a bit surprised by the outcome of the game, I thought it would go the other way. I enjoyed the show all season.

Uh, it's called a hook and ladder by nearly everyone, and that's what it was called in the show. Yet another example of how most writers and editors at SI are frustrated English Lit majors from Ivy League schools who don't know a damn thing about sports.

There was a ton of discussion on the correct term after Boise ran it this year. I'd always heard it as Hook and Ladder but people were adamant that it was Hook and Lateral... I HATE THOSE PEOPLE.

If that happens I may have to stop watching this show. That is so unrealistic it isn't even funny. No college degree, no coaching experience (not counting three weeks as an assistantcoach/high school student), yet taking over one of the most coveted jobs in high school football, no way. I know that it is a tv show and it's not real realistic,but that would just be stupid. BTW I love this show it is my favorite show on tv right now (saying alot considering The Shield, Sopranos, and Entourage have all started). I just hope they don't stray that far from reality.

Now some bad news, the show will air at 10pm on Friday. I guess NBC is looking for a reason to cancel the show.

Per a blurb on TVSeriesFinale.com's article on NBC cancellations

Returning in the fall are: 30 Rock, The Biggest Loser, Dateline, Deal or No Deal, ER, Friday Night Lights (moved to Fridays at 10pm), Heroes, Las Vegas, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order: SVU, My Name is Earl, The Office, and Scrubs. Law & Order and Medium (moved to Sunday nights) will return mid-season (January 2008) or earlier.
