Who buys that crap?

Seriously though, the writing was on the wall in foot high 'The Shining' style letters with this guy. The fact that the media and the "real" press journalists spoon fed us this crock for a week and half while Iraq and the Middle East still churns out deaths of American soldiers and natives by the dozens...which somehow makes the real world back page material.
Yeah I agree, but that is life. You take the good with the bad, that is why the press is the most powerful people in America and the World for that matter! That is my opinion not fact! lol

To be fair a number of outlets have lightly covered this story whereas some others have smothered it (I don't want to name names, but anyone that watches the big 3 cable news channels knows who I am referring too). The media has had problems with priorities for a while now.

The press is powerful and 100% bought and paid for by whichever government is in power. That is fact.

Why do you think the first thing Bush did when they gained control of Iraq was to kick out all the free press and hand pick those that were allowed to stay?

Don't know how this got so political but a couple things.

            1. The John Mark Karr is seriously off his rocker and I kinda doubted he was fully telling the truth. I hoped it was true because we can ill afford to have wackjobs like him walking the streets.

            2. Governments don't buy and pay for the media. Sure there are segments of the media that report favourably toward democrats or republicans but they aren't being paid by them to say all that. Remember not so long ago Bill Clinton was screaming that there's a huge Right Wing Conspiracy out to destroy his presidency. Just like how some conservatives and WH folks complain about how "liberal" the media is. It all depends on your point of view.

            3. As for kicking out the free press....during the actual operational phase of the Iraq war the US did something that hasn't been done since Vietnam and that was to allow embedded journalists with different divisions of the armed forces. This ran all the way through the cable nets right on down to reporters for large newspaper chains. Also if Bush had the power to kick out the free press then you wouldn't see the Cable Nets and network news reporting in Iraq every single day. Most of the coverage has been critical although I have seen with my very eyes some very positive stories as well.

You can't help it if the negative outweighs the positive.

scottD the crazy thing is, I was listening to the Tom Joyner Morning Show on Monday and they were saying that his lawyers were working on a movie deal about him! Same goes for his two ex-wives.
