Seinfield. Can't compare d league teams to NBA champs this should be a landslide. No offense to friends but were talking about seinfield.

Apart from Seinfeld & Friends my other favorites were The King of Queens, Fresh Prince and Everybody Loves Raymond.

Apart from Mike & Molly, there isn't a single comedy currently on tv that I enjoy.

you must not watch Parks And Recreation.

Seinfeld, and it aint even close! "I said turn Pimp!" I would definitely put frazier up against sienfeld, though.

Absolutely unequivocally Seinfeld. I've seen an occasional Friends episode but it always seemed too "girly" to me for some reason. But Seinfeld is arguably the greatest comedy of all time. No contest on this one.

Funny that you say Friends was over rated when it was one of the highest rated shows all time. The audience ratings for Friends were unreal. Ratings are what they are, you cant over rate them.
I see what your saying tho it was over rated as in everyone seemed to think it was really good.

Exactly what I was saying. The ratings were through the roof even though the show wasn't very funny at all.

I'd say friends was funny to watch with my wife and my wife would probably say Seinfeld was funny to watch with me.

The poll got me to thinking of some other favorites. One that many rarely mention would be Wings. I really liked that show. My other two would be Cheers and Frasier.

Wings, Cheers, Seinfeld, and Frasier are my four favorite network comedies of all-time. Probably in that order.

It seems like there's not many shows you can sit down and watch as a family anymore, like Home Improvement.

As for the topic, I prefer Friends, but I like them both almost equally.

Was Seinfeld really that funny? I remember when it used to run, but I never got into nor remember watching an episode. Not sure if its because I watched it before and never laughed and that's what caused me to never get into it. Maybe its a cultural thing (being black?). But my mom watched it all the time. So I don't know.

I remember my mom watching Friends all the time too. And I always thought of it as a show for females. So I never watched it. But then I sat and watched it with her one time and it had me cracking up. Watched reruns whenever they would come from that point on.

One thing I really liked about Friends was that each character would make me laugh. Most shows have one or two people that would be funny and the others wouldn't be. But each character in Friends was funny and in DIFFERENT ways because their personalities were so different.

Chandlers sarcasm...Joey is dumb...Phoebee is loopy/crazy...etc...

And they just worked so well together. So for me, gotta go with Friends.

LOL, I don't know a black guy who ever watched Seinfeld and I work at the New Orleans Post Office (i'm white by the way).

Then again I don't know a black guy that watch The Wire on a regular basis.

I think Seinfeld does a great job of not only getting some funny stuff out of their main cast, but a lot of the times the guest stars and recurring characters are the best parts of the scenes they're in. I mean, Newman is in the whole series probably a total of 100 minutes, but all his scenes are hilarious.

Seinfeld didn't need to have characters fit "a type". It was all very unique.

Strongly disagree. I watch it everytime I see that it's on and I'm watching TV. Even though I know exactly what's going to happen. Can't say that about many shows.

Yeah, there's going to be some ****ty jokes, George is going to freak about something, Kramer is going to act like an idiot and Jerry and Elaine will eat at a ****ing diner...and none of it will be good.
