Seinfeld or Friends?

Alright, my cuz and I were debating on which was the better show.. Seinfeld or Friends. I do admit that Friends has its hilarious moments, but Seinfeld is one show I can watch over and over and over and over. Hell I try to watch it at least 3-4 times a day (twice on TBS, and twice on Fox)

For some reason Seinfeld is funnier simply because it really talks about real-life situations. Like shrinkages

So in your opinion, which show is funnier?

Seinfeld is the most quotable show on TV. It has permiated into every day life, and it is rewatchable at any hour of any day.

I like both shows, but Seinfeld is a lot funnier than Friends.

Seinfeld...and really, how is this even up for debate? You have a show about "nothing" that has an entire library of classic episodes against some craptacular make-up/break-up "comedy" recycling the same plot lines every season.

The only redeeming thing about 'Friends' is that the wonderful creators introduced the world to Jennifer Aniston. I'd trade her *** though to have never heard of Matthew LeBlanc and Matthew Perry. God help us with those unfunny saps.

That would be my vote too.

As for Friends and Seinfeld I love both shows but if forced to chose just between those two I'd have to Seinfeld. Friends last couple seasons were pretty weak and Seinfeld finished strong.

funniest episode ever.. I couldnt stop laughing at the driving the bus to the hospital scene!

And as for Arrested Developement, I can admit that I've never seen it before, but I have seen small clips. I guess I should of tuned in more.

i watched an episode of friends last night... the audience laughs for I dont know what reason.. everyone acts like kramer on that show.. trying to be witty and stuff.. it just doesnt work for me.

aniston is hot, so i still watch


im biased towards seinfeld and larry david though. i just crack a smile the whole time i watch a episode. i know whats coming but its still just perfect comedy. AD is definetly second or third. in a whole other bracket, i love mr show sketch comedy. only 30 episodes but that stuff is just spectacular.

I guess I'm a robot because I find these two be two of the most overrated TV shows.

I watched Seinfeld for like 2 minutes yesterday and almost killed myself.

Seinfeld was great in it's original run, not nearly as great the first couple times through syndication and since then hasn't really hit me the way it should.

Friends OTOH is just a waste of 30 minutes. I never cared for the show and never will.

So in the end Seinfeld gets the nod for me however the greatest comedy show of all time goes to All in the Family until the Meathead and Gloria characters leave the show. That's when it jumped the shark. Even then, it still had some worthwhile episodes. AITF touched on some very serious subjects but was never OVERLY preachy like '80s sitcoms got.

So i'm voting other (AITF) but will say that Seinfeld is way better then Friends. I really liked the episodes dealing with Seinfeld making a show about himself. The whole "show within a show" concept can be hokey but it was quite witty and I liked the "behind the scenes" stuff too.
