Studio 60 = West Wing-ish, 1 hour drama

30 Rock= 30 minute single camera comedy

has me hooked after the first episode...I'm a fan of Sorkin (earlier West Wing was great, SportsNight is one of my favorite shows ever), and this cast seems to be able to pull it off great.

Just a heads up to those that may have missed the first episode...

BRAVO will be re-showing the first episode tonight (Wednesday) at 11:00 PM ET.

I didn't get to see it myself, so will be recording/watching it myself.

never saw west wing, but i enjoyed the pilot alot. deff will be tuning in every week. the cast??? WOW

Very good show. Suffered from the typical Gatling-gun Sorkin dialogue, which is so unrealistic that it starts to grate after a while. Does anyone in a Sorkin show or movie ever pause to think before, during or after a sentence? Uh, no.

But the cast and script are so strong that the show was really good. I can live with the minor annoyances of the staccato dialogue when the plot, acting and scripts are this good and smart, just like with "The West Wing."

I hate Matthew Perry which is why I didnt check this out, but how's Steven Weber? I loved him in Wings, and obviously it's not the same type of show, but how is his role?

Maybe I'll catch the replay...

Weber is the Man at NBS (Their Network) and a bit of an *******, but of course for him to be at the position in real life I'm sure you gotta be one. He comes off as intelligent though, so he should be an interesting character if they develop him correctly.
