Seems like it has a little "Unbreakable" to it, in the sense of the comic book super hero mythos relating to the arrival of real life super heroes and villians. Most of my theory comes after after the show when the previews of future episodes reveal that the drug riddled artist has drawn several "visions of the future" that will guide these heroes. They are laid out in a storyboard/storytelling fashion or "like a comic book" as described by "Flyboy" (or can he fly, or does his politician brother alone have that power?). "Unbreakable" is more mysterious about it's super hero mythology connection, while "Heroes" seems to take that concept head on, particularly when the "Japenese Teleport" guy reads a "9th Wonder" comic with him on the front cover. Did he advance himself far enough in time to read a comic book that was inspired by the real life exploits of him and his fellow heroes? The series looks intriguing so I will definitely give it a chance.

Hmm. I think both the brothers have the ability to fly because like the younger brother said, "they have a special connection." Then of course we see him letting go of his older brother at the end of the show, but we'll see hopefully in the next episode.
Speaking of the 9th Wonder comic book, the son of the single mom was reading one wasn't he? Does anybody remember what was on it?

Sadly, all I noticed was a monster on the cover. I think the monster was purple and appeared to be attacking a city. I might be off on the color because memory is failing me now."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I watched the first episode and think the show could be great....obviously this was setting up the characters and premise, but i do want to see what happens when there's a bit more going onNintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Okay, for all you "Smallville" fans, Greg Beeman is one of the directors for Heroes. Also, I believe Tim Sale does the artwork for the show.
I think this was the cover of the comic book...

Also, Jeph Loeb who wrote the Batman: Hush story you like, and also helped with many Smallville episodes, worked on the 3rd episode of Heroes.

Damn I think i'm gonna need to watch this show. There's another comic book guy i'd like to see doing TV named Geoff Johns.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Heroes (NBC, Mondays @ 9PM)
I agree. The heroes and supporting players look to be well cast, but it will take some great writing to advance this series to the next level. Here's hoping they get it done. Why is there no super strong guy (or girl?).Comment

Re: Heroes (NBC, Mondays @ 9PM)
there probably will be, i think there are more heroes to introduce, but they're really developing their backgrounds (at least more than most shows would), so this will unfold slowly, but hopefully more satisfyingly. I've got my hopes for this show, could be stellar.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Heroes (NBC, Mondays @ 9PM)
So, I'm thinking even if this series does get cancelled, I hope its turned into a comic book because I think it would be amazing.
As for the show, it appears Nikki (single mom), Claire (cheerleader), and Nathan have used their powers before hand. I think it would be interesting to see the first time Nikki blacked out, Claire realized she heals very quickly, and Nathan found out he could fly.
