For those that have a Hollywood Video around you, call them because if they rent out HD DVD's, they are now selling them for $14/each or 2 for $20 and this is company wide. Picked up 4 for $40 tonight

Good call. Was able to get 4 this afternoon at a Hollywood Video...had about 15-16 to choose from. The copy of Chuck and Larry (combo) I got was scratched up bad so it's gotta go back.

This deal is also good at Moovie Gallery as well. Had 35 titles to choose from. Picked up 8 for $84:
Blade Runner 5 disc
Zodiac
Brave One
Alpha Dog
The Shooter
Fast and the Furious
Manchurian Candidate
Heartbreak Kid

All were in perfect condition. Looks like they weren't rented at all. Just gotta buy some replacement HD-DVD cases for cheap. Luckily, the cover art was included and not damaged at all.

Almost pulled the trigger on 4 others. To be continued...

PS--If anyone can get their hands on a extra copy American Gangster or Eastern Promises (HD-DVD) at Hollywood or Movie Gallery, let me know.

Just picked up 9 flicks (5 new, 4 of them lightly watched) off of Ebay for 90 bucks shipped:

Constantine
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
V for Vendetta
The Rundown (I thought the Rock was amazing in this)
Transformers
Apollo 13
We Were Soldiers
Phantom of the Opera

I also got 300 in the deal, but I already have it. Even if you ignore it, I got 8 good movies for 11.25 each. I've never sold anything on Ebay, but I think I'll put 300 for sale and just try to get a few bucks for it. Or I'll be lazy and forget about it. I mainly did this to get Transformers but I had to jump on this.

That being said, if anybody on OS doesn't have 300 yet, I'm willing to sell my copy on HD-DVD (used once) for very little. Just send me a PM if interested. However, I think everybody has it already LOL

A35=$149.99

Plus you still get the 5 free discs in the mail + 2 free pack-in titles.

I already checked. Mine isn't getting anymore new releases. Is yours getting multiple copies?

Nice. I'm still looking for Eastern Promises, American Gangster, and now Beowulf. If you or anyone else could pick those up, I would paypal you.

Just a heads up, the Hollywood Video pamphlet/flyer has a "previously viewed" BOGO coupon. Should be near the front of the store. I bought 4 before realizing it was available.

$10 is good, but $7.50 is even better.

Almost all the Paramount titles are $11.95 on Amazon, while they are $9.98 on Deep Discount DVD. DDD seems to not have most of these in stock.

Has anyone seen Sahara or Elizabeth? Were they any good?
