Really hope they release each Matrix movie separately and not just as a boxed set. I'm only interested in the 1st one.

From the way HighDefDigest described it, the $99 version is the 3 movies and a bonus disc. The $119 is the previously released 8 or 9 disc set, with the 35 hours of bonus features (hopefully including the Animatrix like the previous set did). For $20, it's a no brainer for me since I never owned the special edition sets, just the 4 discs already released. Can't wait!!!!!

Which format has the rights to the Karate Kid trilogy? And yes, I'm being serious.

imdb says that movie was distributed by Columbia (read:Sony) so don't look for it to show up on HD DVD anytime soon.

I only wanted matrix not any of the sequels. I will have to wait till they sell the matrix by itself.

Glad to see i'm not the only one. 2 and 3 were overrated.

How were they overrated? They're reviled by most fans (not me), so I would say they're more underrated than overrated.

In any case, I think the sequels were actually pretty good, and they helped elevate the first movie's position in my eyes.

The second and third movies did suffer as far as dramatic narrative was concerned, but they did flesh out the themes in the first one pretty well, and I was appreciative of that, and I personally can't wait to get my hands on the set.

can't wait to see all 3 in HD. While IMO #2 and #3 weren't as good as the first, they'll all look/sound amazing. The attack scenes in #3 should look sweet along with just about everything in #1.

Yeah I hope they're in TrueHD too. It would be a bit of a disappointment if they weren't.

Just about every WB HD-DVD is in True HD Sound. Look at the Happy Feet HD-DVD compared to the Blu-ray. The HD has True HD sound, the BD does not.

I just want this silly format war to end.

I want to jump in but don't want to get burned.

The problem is that most people are fine with current DVD's. The DVD to HD jump isn't as big as the VHS to DVD jump.

The DVD added special features, sub-titles, chapters, and better quality. The 2 new formats only add better quality.

I'm also worried something better than HD-DVD/Blu-Ray will come out and support 2160P TV's in the near future.

If you want HD but are worried about getting burned why not get a good upconverting DVD player? I've seen some good ones with nice prices out there.

I got burned buying the DVD version of the Ultimate Matrix Collection, with the Neo bust and all. The standard version of the set had an unreal number of price drops, and naturally, the "deluxe" version followed.

Still love the clear case, though.
