i remember that and will never forget it. one of the best golf shots EVER obviously. and the stakes were high which makes it stand out even more. that was straight out of a movie.

and you gotta love Verne's call. that was a classic moment.

Wow, I'm not even a golf fan but wow...that was incredible.

Gotta love how the ball 'pauses' to show off the Nike Swoosh before going in.

I gotta go with what SPTO posted. Joe Carter's HR to win the '93 World Series was the ultimate sports moment for me.

Michael Jordan & the Bulls win the Championship on Father's Day
Jordan was named the MVP... I can only imagine how emotional that would be.

Re: Best Moments in Sports History

Still the most incredible moment I've ever witnessed in sports. If you weren't old enough to remember, the A's were such a dominant team with an All-Star lineup. I can't remember a team being more heavily favored to win a World Series (multiply the Yankees versus the Marlins x 10) and losing.

                      The World Series.

                      David versus Goliath.

And the poetic call of Vin Scully:

How come the A's didn't have home field advantage for that series if they were the dominant and favorites to win that World Series?

The AL Championship Series 2004, Red Sox vs Yankees, greatest American rivalry of all time. Red Sox were down 3 games to nil. Backs to their walls. Yet, the Red Sox came out on top, winning the series 4-3. My greatest baseball moment for me.

EDIT: Whoops, didn't read the 1st page where someone else already posted about this moment. IMO, this is the greatest comeback in baseball history.
