All I ask is that some of you doubters watch An Inconvenient Truth. Seriously, take an hour and a half a watch it. It can answer so many of your questions and concerns. If you look for it you could probably even find a bootleg copy on the internet so you don't even have to give any money to him. Please watch it, it will answer many of your questions.

Secondly, where is the harm in this? Rather be safe than sorry.

There's also stuff on the internet that debunks the whole movie. It's a scare tactic for political sway and nothing more.

The ice recedes. Then it reforms. Been happening for much longer than man's even been here.

The holes are still there (they don't just stay there, they actually come and go with the seasons). But, with public policy changed, we stopped pumping as many CFC's into the atmosphere and the depletion has slowed and will return to pre-1980 levels around 2060.

Something good actually came of that "freak-out".

A North pole expedition designed to show us all the harmful effects of global warming was interrupted due to extremely cold temperatures this week. it was too cold for humans to stay there, and the expedition party had to return. they suffered frostbite and batteries to power their equipment were drained repeatedly by the extreme cold temperatures .

Some higher intelligence than humans has a good sense of humor.

I have a question. Why must everything be a debate? Why must everything break down to a he said/they said argument? Why can't we just accept the fact that we have abused the hell out of our planet (because, let's be honest with ourselves, we have - littering anyone?), that it may be harming the overall health of the planet (for long or short term), and that we should probably alter our ways?

Why must there be a motive all of the time? The one thing that I have figured out in my days is that people aren't smart enough to be behind these great conspiracies that everyone seems to drum up.
