Maynard from a pure talent perspective.

As a lead though I am going with Weiland just because when I think of a rockstar I think of him.

Kind of the same here. BN is one of my top 5 favorite bands of all time, and I really like Jesse as his lyrics are great and he portrays them very well, but I don't think he's all that great of a singer.

I gotta throw out a duo...

Dallas Green and George Pettit of Alexisonfire.

Green has what I think is, perhaps, the best male voice in all of rock music today, and Pettit really adds some emotion and his screaming voice almost acts as just another instrument. It is an acquired taste, though, and I'm sure some people hate the screaming and stuff... but it might grow on you... it did on me...

Bono of U2 was always one of my favorites too, though he gets a little too eccentric at times.

Geoff Rickley from Thursday is one of my favorite "vocalists," based almost entirely on his emotion and lyrics, but his voice if absolutely terrible.

      Maynard is excellent as well.
      Dallas is another awesome one.

EDIT: Never heard of Thursday prior to now but they are awesome. Geoff has a nice voice.

I was going through my mp3 collection and I just remembered Nonpoint. I don't even know the singer's name but I like his voice.

Ya. Thursday dominates my iPod. I've got nearly 60 thursday songs... considering they've only released three full length CDs, that's a lot of songs. They're one of my favorite bands of all time, along with Brand New, Taking Back Sunday and Alexisonfire.

Thursday is good stuff. The dude from All That Remains. I think he does the screaming and the singing.

Wow, I just went back through this topic and noticed that no one mentioned Axl Rose. I can't believe I left him off of my list last year.

I think people hate him too much to put him on a list.

Without question, he's probably the biggest douche I don't know, but he's got one hell of a voice.

Great list! Everygrey and Symphony X have great lead singers too. He's hyper cheesy, but I love the Hammerfall guy too. Ah, and the girl fro Sinergy.
