Re: Satellite Radio
I haven't listened to Sirius in weeks and I have no idea why. Im considering cancelling it just because I don't ever use it anymore. I still love listening to Stern, but for some reason I just never get around to it. I just listen to my ipod all the time now.Last edited by RockyTop1; 05-25-2007, 02:03 PM.PS4: aBayBates

OHHHH. If you cancel it, let me know what you want for the Stiletto. I'd kill to have one of those.Comment

Re: Satellite Radio
Okay...since my damn work has now blocked Sirius and XM online, I need one of those boomboxes to take to work with me(plus I would love to listen to Stern at night while I am laying down) do I need anything extra with the boom boxes? I wasn't able to find much info on the net. Do I need an antenna or they come with them?
Any help would be appreciated.Comment

Re: Satellite Radio
Also, is anything ever going to come out of the Sirius/XM merger? Is that still on?

Re: Satellite Radio
I get reception everywhere i go. My big concern was not being able to get it at the gym, but even there it works great.
My wife has been nagging me to get her the sirius equivalent, but when she tried it out at CC, it cut out every few seconds. It all depends on location and how many service towersyou have near you.
YMMVComment

Re: Satellite Radio
It would be pretty cool if they combined the two into one offering...I'm starting to be tempted by Satellite radio. My commute is longer 3 days a week so I'd be more likely to use it, though for a couple months I'll be happy with my iPod. I'll have to keep an eye on this.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

-Xm has better technology ( more mature, works better IMO)
-sirius, alot of their radio stations play better music than xm( for example, the 80's channel on sirius is better, as is their big hair band station and new wave, though xm has lucy and fred which play alternative and it absolutely rocks).
-depending on who you are a fan of, you got howard on one end and you have the boys on the other( ron and fez kick major *** as well).
-sports packages dont work for me. NFL over the radio does nothing since i rather watch on tv. with xm and baseball, i only listen when the marlins play in the afternoons.
everything else is pretty even no matter which service you have.
I got xm about 3 years ago and havent looked back since. I forgot what AM/FM sound like.Comment

Re: Satellite Radio
I had Sirius for 3 years. I have XM now since it came with my new vehicle and is integrated into my navigation unit. I prefer Sirius though. They have better Hip/Hop and Rock/Metal stations IMO. Comedy channels are better on Sirius too.My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx
