I tried all morning and was able to reserve it around 2pm Central. The problem was with AT&T
I could get on apple but it had trouble when trying to verify my info. I tried on the Att site and had the same problems.

Got my order in about 6:30am central. A little slow, but no real problems.

I was thinking of going without a case but of course I dropped my 'cased' 3g in a parking lot today. Just popped right out of my hand and bounced a few times. No damage, just some scuffs on the case. I'd hate to drop the new one like that so I'll probably get a case.

I'll probably get a case eventually, but maybe not right away. I want to see what options come out before spending money.

Anyway, I went with the 16GB, in black (obviously ). Wanted the White, but didn't feel like waiting. Had to change my plan to get it to the amount I'm paying now, so I went with the 2GB of data a month + 200 text. That should be enough. What did everyone else go with?

One thing, though. I haven't gotten my confirmation email yet, but I did get the confirmation page after completing the order. Did this happen to anyone else?

Same thing here with the missing confirmation email. I can check on my order and get the page that says 16gb iphone 4, freight, and various sim but I never got an email.

Looks like Apple's out of stock already. The pre-order page now says "Ships: By July 2nd". Word is AT&T sold out of their stock as well, as did Radioshack (was going to take advantage of their trade in deal, but got their too late. They only had 10k to sell nationwide and they sold out in 15-20 minutes apparently)

It's kinda crazy that this thing has sold out already.

I remember getting a 3G and then upgrading to a 3Gs and their wasn't this type of frenzy from the second gen to the third gen.

Now I just have to practice patience and wait until I see a 32GB that I can get, instead of being impulsive and getting the black 32GB if I see one at a store.

Due to just getting an Iphone 3Gs recently I was able to get the Iphone4 upgrade.
Mine will be shipped no later than 7/2 and in hand between 7/6 - 7/8

Are we supposed to receive an e-mail confirmation stating the ship date? I got an e-mail confirmation that just says:

"Pre-orders will be fulfilled beginning June 24, 2010. Orders will ship on a first-come, first-served basis. We will notify you by email when your order ships. Your order may be subject to AT&T eligibility and credit requirements. If we have any questions about your eligibility or your order, we will contact you via email."

I am in a premier account and ordered it through there, so maybe I just need to be patient.

I got the email you got but then just recently got another email stating:

Ships: By July 2nd
Delivers Jul 6 - Jul 8 by Standard Shipping
