I actually thought my battery life held up better while I was browsing the web.

I will have to test this out again. Does anyone know how to change the battery to a percentage indicator? A friend of mine was saying that we can change that now, but I have no clue where that is at.

Go to settings->general->usage. It's at the top.

Is it crashing on a certain web page for Safari? I can try it on the 4 but this thing is a tank. I haven't had any issues with it. I had 5 tabs open before and it saved the state of them all. So my testing may not help you completely but I'm offering....

Well, I mostly just browse OS on there, lol, but I've never had ANY crashing issues before, yet since I've loaded the new update, I've had it crash probably ten times. If I go in and delete all my multitasking history, then it will be alright again for a while. Very strange...

Ahh, that makes sense then.

Every app multi-tasks by default. If it sits in the MT tray, then it's taking up RAM. You only have about 150 MB of free RAM by default (at least in iOS3; not sure about 4), so if you've opened up a few RAM heavy apps, then open up Safari, you'll have less RAM for web pages to load.

Safari crashes when you don't have enough RAM to load the page. That was the behavior exhibited by all apps WAAAY early on back in iOS 1 and 2.

Seems like the new MT is taking up your RAM.

I just got the new iPhone 4 and love it. Its so much quicker and crisper than my 3G.
Anyways my buddy has a 3G and hasn't plugged it in in months (computer problem, I don't know how he didn't fix it sooner) but hes trying to restore his phone and with itunes open it looks like its all going good, his iphone has the apple logo and the bar is moving, but then it just stops about 3/4 the way done.(it says iphone is restoring) in itunes.

We read somewhere it could take hours so we left it going all night last night and its still stuck in the same spot. We've tried resetting it, holding the home button down while connecting it and no luck.

I doubt its an iPhone problem, probably his laptop, but do any of you have an idea how to fix it. He wants to plug it in to get the new OS4 but isnt having any luck. Thanks

Sweet, the AT&T store just got cases in. They have the IFrogz black and the Body Glove Clear/Black case. Anyone have either of these cases? Recommendations?

I got an ifrogz blue-black case. It is decent. 2 pieces that slide together with some felt like material on the inside so it won't scratch the back of the phone.

I really want a speck camdyshell. Loved it on my 3G.

How can you tell how many apps might be running in the background? Sorry for these questions, still rather new to the iPhone since I haven't had it for that long?

I picked up the iFrogz case, seems decent enough until one of the top-cases comes out and is reviewed. If you're trying to decide between the two, go with the iFrogz. It has more coverage and better grip than the BodyGlove case, and they both cost the same.

I'll do the same. I got the body glove which is nice and stylish but it doesn't cover the front at all. The bumper on the sides does protrude over the front but if it falls at an angle at the top or bottom it won't fair well. I'd ideally like a Speck or a Otterbox.

Just ordered one from boxwave. For $3.50 it's worth a try. I hope I like it better than the one I have. The body glove does look nice with the clear back but I'd like at least a little rubber around the front completely. The body glove has nothing at the front top or bottom.
