Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
How/why do people drop their phone so often? In the several years I've had iPhones (3 and now the 4S), I've dropped it ONCE. It was the 3 as I was getting out of my car, and other than a very small chip on the side, it was fine.
I've never used a case. Hate the unnecessary bulk, and the experience of using the phone is just so much better without one.Ryan Spencer

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
I don't have an iPhone, but an iPod Touch... I've dropped in my face (only counting this generation's iPod) probably 15 times. When I'm lying in bed, playing a game or something on it, my finger's sometimes betray me while I'm swiping or clicking on something and I fumble it and usually it just smacks me in the face. I actually cut the bridge of my nose once because it turned sideways, instead of falling straight down.How/why do people drop their phone so often? I do not use a protective case on it - but that metal is pretty sharp and kind of hurts, I can tell you that.Comment

Looks like I have to upgrade from the 4s to 5 in June. Really wanted to wait till the 5s/6 but I was dumb and got a 16gb 4s on release day and I am about out of room. Going with the 32gb this time around. The Ohio State University

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
Are they cutting unlimited plans with new upgrades now? I've had ATT unlimited data since 08 and had an upgrade to iPhone 5 this past October and it didn't change my plan at all.
I have friends who were tricked into giving up their unlimited plans by slick salespeople at AT&T stores though.Comment

No that is for Verizon. I was told if I upgrade I will lose unlimited which kills me because I watch NetFlix on my phone so I don't want to guess my usage and be limited. Are they cutting unlimited plans with new upgrades now? Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
If the only reason you plan on upgrading is space, I'd definitely look for alternatives. If you have a ton of music, you could buy iTunes Match and upload some of your music to the cloud and stream it when you want it. It's only $25 a year. Or if it's pictures, I'd use Dropbox or something similar. At this point, I think it's gonna be worth waiting.
You're still grandfathered in no matter what on AT&T. You're throttled at 3gb of 3G/4G usage, but you have truly unlimited usage on LTE.Are they cutting unlimited plans with new upgrades now? Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
Yep. I work for AT&T and I've been told that by several managers. And my friend has unlimited and is a really heavy user and used to be throttled at 3gb on 3G but has no throttling at all. He tested it one month by streaming a ton of Netflix and at 35gb of usage he still had full speed.Kansas City Royals | FC Barcelona | New Orleans Pelicans

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
It's definitely a music situation. I've looked into going to iTunes Match but it looks like it takes up a lot of data and I am not on an unlimited plan anymore. If the new iPhone isn't announced before the second week in June I'm probably just going to upgrade. If the only reason you plan on upgrading is space, I'd definitely look for alternatives. Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
Google Music until the announcement. It's free and you can have all your music as long as you have an internet connection. Once the next announcement comes, make your move.
I wouldn't bother with a 5 this late in the game especially when the price will more than likely drop to the $99 number when the next one comes out.PSN: FiSH_M3ATComment
