Definitely going with the 64gb since it's the same price as the 32gb was in the past. Not bad. I made the mistake of going with the 16gb for the 5 and ran outta space a week into it. Now I can put what the **** I want on my phone.

I'm going 64gb Plus as well. Hopefully I can get a preorder in.
You all going to preorder online or in-store and where at? Last time I tried to preorder a phone through Apple I was up until the wee hours trying to get my order in.Comment

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
I'm as impressed as I expected I would be. I'm relieved that the 6 Plus isn't the high end version receiving better specs, aside from the optical image stabilization and battery life. I had been contemplating the 6 Plus, but I think it's just too big. The 6 will do everything I need. I'm especially excited about Apple Pay and the upgraded camera. And the increased screen size, of course.Kansas City Royals | FC Barcelona | New Orleans Pelicans

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
I just wasn't impressed. No doubt both the 6 and the 6 Plus will be great phones, and I loved my iPhone 4 and 3GS models, but the big features Apple announced have all been on Android for years.
Apple Pay? The Nexus 4 had NFC payments back in 2012. And on top of that, a 4.7 inch screen on the iPhone 6 is smaller than the HTC One M8, Samsung Galaxy S5, Sony Xperia Z3, and other flagship Android phones which are all around 5 inches. Not to mention the screen resolution on the 6 is only 750p, whereas the flagship Android phones are at least 1080p and sometimes higher. And the camera is still only 8mp, whereas most Android flagships sport at least 13mp (the HTC One M8 is the big exception, with a pitiful 4mp).
On top of all that, the leaked iPhone 6 bench marks show the phone to only have 1 gig of ram and a dual core processor, which are both half the 2+ gigs of ram and quad+ processors of the top Android phones.
The iPhone does offer way more on-board storage, and that's a huge plus. But it doesn't have a micro-SD card slot, which on the Android flagships allows you to add up to 128gb of additional storage.
I have no doubt that the new iPhones will be great. iOS is a fantastic operating system, Apple's app ecosystem is amazing, and Apple has yet to release a bad phone. But I still can't help but feel underwhelmed by this unveiling. I'm in the market for a new phone, and I thought I might go Apple, but now I have a tough choice to make.Comment

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
When it comes to cameras, megapixels aren't the most important thing -- the sensors and the lens are more important. Having a great lens gives you a clearer and nicer picture, not how many megapixels it packs. What use is a 13mp camera if it comes out all noisy because of a crappy lens? The megapixel is a marketing gimmick, nothing more.
As for NFC, it has been around for years but no one has been able to get both business and consumers to fully adopt it. Apple has the clout to do so, so we'll see if their usual "We'll come in later, but we'll do it better" strategy works for NFC.Comment

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
As a left-hander, I wonder how annoyed I'd be with the 'digital crown' on the side of the Apple Watch. I wear my watches on my right wrist, and I would assume most lefties would have to constantly reach over their screens.

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
Apparently, you wear it upside-down so the crown will be on the lower-left when worn on the right hand.Comment

Interesting concern I saw someone mention in the comments section at Gizmodo: will the slightly extruded camera lens make the iPhone "wobble" when using it while it is on a hard, flat surface?Ryan Spencer

Interesting...and it doesn't seem like something that Apple would do.Comment

Maybe with a case there will be enough padding to prevent that.
