Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
I've never used a case for any phone before, but I picked up the midnight blue leather one for the iPhone 6. I like it better than I thought I would, but I'm still not real fond of using a case. At the same time, I'm sure the added protection helps.Comment

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
When you drop your phone and the screen shatters you'll wish you had s case. I understand that cases makes the phones look ugly sometimes but I'd hate to have a cracked screen on a new phone.

AppleCare is the one warranty I have no problems buying. They've given me a battery/charger for my MacBook with no problem. iPhone randomly died over summer and they replaced it at the apple store after trying to fix it for 10 minutes.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
I've never needed it for the physical replacement, but I did need it for the extended mfg. warranty part. It's the peace of mind factor. And it's way cheaper than carrier insurance.Kansas City Royals | FC Barcelona | New Orleans Pelicans

Not for me. Apple care is 100 and I pay 7 bucks a month for ATT's insurance.Comment

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread

Plus factor in deductible cost. AppleCare is $80 while carrier insurance can be up to $199. The only difference is the lost and stolen protection that you get from carrier insurance.Kansas City Royals | FC Barcelona | New Orleans Pelicans

Twice. But if you make a claim on your insurance twice in a 12 month period, your insurance will be cancelled by Asurion.Kansas City Royals | FC Barcelona | New Orleans Pelicans

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
I just bought the 6+ for me and the 6 for my wife. We have to wait for it to be shipped. Now I'm just counting the days till I get my tracking number. We are both coming from Samsung galaxy s3s so its going to be awesome having the new iPhone.Comment

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
My homie got the iPhone 6 today and after playing around with it, I really don't wanna wait until March for my upgrade.
So I have a question for anybody that works at Verizon. If I were to go into the store and cancel my contract and pay the early termination fee (18 months in so it would be $170) could I then sign up for a new contract and pay contract price for the 6 Plus?
UPDATE: I went to Verizon today on my lunch break and asked the sales lady the same question I posted above, and she said I could do it but I'd have to get a new number, which I'm fine with. Pay the ETF of $170, and trade in my iPhone 5 for $200 to knock the price of the 6 Plus down to $299 for the 128GB.
Also got a chance to check out the 6 Plus at the store today, and my god, THAT DEVICE IS A THING OF BEAUTY! Can't wait to get that bad boy in a couple weeks!
I work at Verizon and that is exactly correct. I did this for a customer the other day

Re: iPhone Discussion Thread
Thanks for the clarification, I'm gonna go this route. I'm curious as to why it's not possible to re-assign the same number to the new account?Comment
