I put all that stuff together myself. Leopards official wallpaper, I took the actual image file of the Dock (from leopard) and made it work for summerboard and just used some icons I've found, as well as customised some of them (like the iPod icon).

Well you said Leopard Skin, I guess I just meant the wallpaper. Best site for icons? And how do you get them onto the phone/ipod? Do you have to mess with the files?
is there anyway to have your wallpaper picture show up on the home screen without unlocking? right now all i have is a black screen behind my app icons. the only time i see my wallpaper is on the "slide to unlock" screen.

The icons I mostly either used another skin (I think it was a Panther skin) or made them up myself. They're not that hard to make with some patience and Photoshop.
There are two ways to get the icons:
Find the Summerboard themes folder and save all the icons in a folder called 'Icons.' Use the same name as the application.
OR
Copy an "icon.png" that you've created (60x60) into the corresponding application folder. This method is irreversible as you're over-writing the original icon for that app. Unless you back it up you can't get it back.
1) Do you have to unlock your iphone to get stuff like menu wallpaper and to add icons?
2) Is summerboard the app that you use to unlock your phone?
3) Do new Apple updates brick your phone if its unlocked?

Thanks.
Unlocking and jailbreaking are two completely different things.
You all are referring to jailbreaking. This allows you access to the iPhone/iPod touch file system. Unlocking allows the use of the phone on other networks/without a service plan.
Yes, you have to unlock to customise your phone/touch.
Summerboard is an app that allows customization.
Not sure if new Apple updates will brick your phone, as they aren't out yet. If you're that worried, a simple system restore puts your iPhone/touch back to it's original state. You can then upgrade.
There is absolutely no harm in doing this, unless AT&T is snooping through your phones somehow. Touch owners have no worries whatsoever.
It's a must, IMO. As much as I stayed away from the iPhone, I would surely pick one up now with this amount of customization.

Thanks Pared. So which are people who were jailbreaking their phones the ones whos phones bricked because of the most recent Apple update? Also, other than Summerboard, are there any other must have apps or sites that feature the apps. Thanks again.

What those people did was in the earlier update they modified the iPhone's file structure and updated after "jailbreaking" their phone. It was just the most stupid thing you can do.
If a new update comes out you either:
1) Don't update
2) Restore your iPhone, THEN update and wait until the new firmware is jailbroken (you obviously lose all your custom apps and such)
There is actually an un-bricking program out there now, so no iPhone is permanently bricked.
Most of the apps you can find in the Installer app. A lot of them are just stupid little fun apps but there are some useful ones depending on what you're into. I know those who love Flickr would love the Flickr app as it allows you to upload your photos in a few taps. I also mentioned services already....
There is also a To Do List app that's pretty cool... but for me, customization was my biggest thing with the iPhone. That, and the whole ringer ordeal. I'm not sure if you can assign specific ringers from your music just yet but I'm sure, once again, it's only a matter of time.
Bottom line is this: If you jailbreak your iPhone, don't update ANYTHING (iTunes, your phone) until you've read word that it's ok.
Anything else I can help you guys with, just let me know.
and not even one day later, my phone is in full freak out mode. It's been in a continuous restart "loop" for about the past 1.5 hours. I'm just waiting on the damn thing to die now. I guess I tried to add too many things or something like that. Who knows. I guess I'll do the full restore when I get home and then just add Summerboard and Customize and that's it.
