Sometimes text messages get queued up by wireless carriers. Have you gotten any yet?

I jailbroke my phone and it is lagging big time since doing it. Seems to be a problem as I searched around the net. I am using the 2.1 firmware. Anyone else having an issue?

mine was jailbroken, i restore and went back and mine has been fine now..(not jailbroken)

If you either have a ton apps (50+) or a very intensive theme using Winterboard, your phone will lag.

If you know how to optimize it you should be fine. But one of the first things you should do is try using the "default" theme in Winterboard and seeing how things go from there. Themes are usually the main culprit of lag, and probably why Apple does not allow users to theme their phones.

Fixes the email issue in regards to fetching... AND improves the overall stability of the phone. Even Safari!

I have an Iphone that is 2.1 jailbroken. I have a ton of winterboard files and Nintendo roms on my phone. I want to upgrade to 2.2 and jailbreak the phone again but I'm worried that I will lose all my non-apple files (NES roms and Winterboard files) and will have to download and install them again. Does anyone know how to upgrade without losing everything.

there is a program on cydia called "aptbackup" . Download it and open it and click 'backup' . Then sync your phone in itunes. It takes a while to sync after this but it is supposed to put everything back on your phone that you downloaded.

This is how it works......I have backed up and synced. I plan on jail breaking today sometime and I will post back how it worked

he way AptBackup works is that when you 'backup', you don't really backup your Cydia apps. AptBackup creates a list of your Cydia apps and next time you sync your iPhone and iTunes back it up, it'll back up also the list of Cydia apps created by AptBackup. Now, suppose you need to restore your firmware for whatever reason, you'll obviously restore a custom firmware, not a stock Apple firmware (otherwise you wouldn't be hacking your iPhone...). As soon as you restore your custom firmware, download again AptBackup from Cydia (best thing would be to have it already in your custom firmware, but I am not sure AptBackup is available for that). Then 'restore' your iTunes backup. By so doing, you will retrieve the list of Cydia apps created by AptBackup when you hit 'backup' in AptBackup. Now you disconnect from iTunes, you open again AptBackup and hit 'restore'. AptBackup will automatically re-download all those Cydia apps you had before restoring the firmware.
