I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"... -

Re: Dan Patrick Leaves ESPN
Here's my prediction for Dan's replacement on the 1-4pm time slot. I'm thinking they'll choose to go the same route here that they did when they replaced the Fabulous Sports Babe with Dan Patrick - hire from within and in such a way that builds and showcases their own personalities. I could TOTALLY see them go with a guy like Stephen A. Smith or Kenny Mayne; guys who ESPN radio listeners already know, and who's personalities would really show during a 3 hour radio program. I would be shocked if they did here what they did when Kornheiser's show ended, and hire someone nobody's ever heard of. They need a name, a big name to fill this spot. One of those two guys fits that bill.
As for Patrick's next stop...the Price is Right thing is a legit possibility. I'm also hearing there's a good chance that he becomes the new permanent morning host on WFAN in New York. Now THAT would be interesting...Comment

Re: Dan Patrick Leaves ESPN
Not to mention Olberman is a spineless coward who stabbed Don Imus, the man who boosted his career, in the back. I can't watch this guy at all on MSNBC - I get sick.Been gaming since the Atari 2600, and hells no I won't stop!!!Comment

GOOD LORD, NOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can get the FAN up here in Mass., and I'm enjoying the existing rotation just fine. Joe B and Evan R I believe would be great to leave in the morning slot. I liked Boomer Esiason, too, during his try out. Patrck is a total bore on the radio, and he actually doesn't know much about sports. He'd cause traffic accidents in the morning by putting people BACK to sleep. I'm hoping that's not true.Been gaming since the Atari 2600, and hells no I won't stop!!!Comment

I miss Kornheiser's radio show. I loved how, whenever someone called in, if they asked "What's up?" or "How's it going?" he would just hang up on them. It was great.Comment

Re: Dan Patrick Leaves ESPN
I agree.. I can see how people don't like him, don't like Rome ( I don't care for Rome too much, but after giving him a listen he grew on me, the clones though..yuck!) and Cowheard is okay. I like him because he is a football guy. You don't have to agree with someone all the time to be entertained.Comment

Re: Dan Patrick Leaves ESPN
Someone on a Baylor fan site said they would rather see Rome host Price is Right, this was kind of funny to me.
Jim: How much for the tube of toothpaste?
Old woman: $1.21
Jim: $1.21? When's the last time you actually went to the grocery store? Maybe you could stop on your way back the nursing home. Perhaps you while you are there, you could also buy a clue. You know, maybe you could even buy vowel because you anyone this stupid should be spinning a wheel with Pat Sajak instead of wasting my time on this stage. Then again, how could I expect that you would even know what a vowel costs? From now on, you should just skip the Price is Right and the Young and the Restless because you are the old and the clueless. Maybe you should be watching, I dunno, "General Hospital" or "The Days of Our Lives" but I would stay away from any daytime program that requires any kind of intellect or consideration of the twenty-first century.
And please, if you ever show up near my stage again, please have somebody else dress you. The beaded tee-shirt you made during crafttime reeks of wasted time at the Hobby Lobby. And that fanny pack is hardly hiding any of that fanny you brought tucked into those stretched jeans that are way too tight for your age and figure. If the goal is to be on television, maybe you should be wearing that outfit on the news while explaining to a reporter what the tornado did to your trailer.

Stephen A. Smith already has a show on 1050 ESPN in New York, so I don't think it would be that much of a stretch to put him on the mother ship.Comment
