WTF does he do, go back and get the camera and do it all over again?
according to the guy on survivorman, yes he does go back to get it he shows himself walking back on one episode in the arctic to get a camera...

Exactly...Les Stroud will seriously make a trip an extra time just to get that awesome time lapse video. I would go crazy if I had to do that

thats just....weird. And the episode I saw he caught a car ride at the end of it, leaving the camera as he got into the car. I mean come on, dude....we know you are just going to leave the camera there and drive away.

these things bother me as I watched it.

Lol, yeah I was smirking at that too the other day. The whole setting up a camera to show yourself crossing a creek, then walking back to get the camera is just like you say, weird. There was one episode I watched the other day where he was like bathing in the ocean or something. I was thinking, "Wtf, does he just want people to see his ***? Do you really NEED to have the camera rolling when you do that? Can't you just say you bathed in the ocean?"

Eh, like I said, I am not anti-survivorman, just alot more entertained by Man vs, Wild. I watch both shows though, just because I find the concept interesting.
          PS: You guys are great.

I never heard of either of these two shows, but reading this gave me a real good chuckle here at work. I know people were looking at me and wondering why I was laughing.

Haha just saw that yesterday, it makes you wonder why he'd drink poop juice(man that's gross, hadn't see that before) but he whimps out on easier stuff like finding places more than a mile from the road, or not staying in a hotel while filming the show.

Entertaining? I watch his show all the time, but I've got to say he's anything but entertaining. He whines and whines about hauling camera equipment (hire a ****ing camera crew, or shut up about it. It's your choice), and he has absolutely no personality. He's just so damn dull in every single thing he does. Can't stand the guy.

Also, who's to say he's for real either? Who knows what he's doing when the camera isn't recording. Who knows what he really has in his bag and pockets? Like that time he just happened to find a piece of chocolate in his pants to eat...

Interesting - but I'm certainly going to take it to not mean much, considering the site it's on. Could easily be staged. Some of the background also doesn't match up (but much of it also does).

Man who cares, this dude is far more entertaining (to me anyways) than survivorman. Bear Grylls is still a bad ***, regardless of whether or not he wore a life vest or somebody helped him make a raft.

I agree. When Man Vs Wild is back on, I'll be watching. He's damn entertaining - and that's why I watch TV.

I'm not actually watching these shows to find out how to survive, I'm watching them to be entertained.

I really don't care if Bear's show is faked much, either. Even if I'd known that from the start, I'd have still watched it and been quite entertained.

I completely understand your point! Just interesting how your reasons for liking it are the reasons it annoys the hell out of me. I know Bear is a badass, but just for some reason annoys me (rather than entertains me) when he's doing crazy stuff that only 0.0000001% of the population could actually do (without killing themselves). Enjoy though, that's what really counts!
