    I recently made the switch from the 4G or 5G (I can never remember which it is) 80GB Video IPOD to the 32GB 2G IPOD Touch.

    Let me just say this. The IPOD Touch maybe the single greatest invention ever. Video playback is outstanding, I love the app store, and the integration in to my home wi fi network. Etc.

    Only complaint is, when I plug it in to the IPOD port in my Infiniti G35, it doesn't charge the touch, it plays and you can control the IPOD from the indash screen, but it doesn't charge the device. When I used my old IPOD it would charge it as well.

    Best money I have spent in a long long time.

        A couple months ago I made the jump from my 3rd or 4th gen Ipod 8 gig to the 16g IPtouch. At first, I kinda felt like I was blowing my money as my old one still worked well but the Touch was just so sexy. Then after I got it, I couldn't believe I waited so long to make the jump. Just feel great knowing it's in my pocket for TV, movies, games, and of course music. Plus I like playing around in the App store seeing what is new, that is a major time waster for me. Only regret is I wish I got the 32g. Oh, well...there is always manana!

            Dammit I really need to decide on getting the Touch or a Nano...

            From what it seems, the Touch seems pointless if you get the smallest one, but I don't see myself doing a ton of web browsing and using the apps as frequently as most people. That's the only thing holding me back from buying the Touch. I know it looks damn sexy, but I don't know if I could see myself dropping another 100 over the Nano for looks and maybe using an app or two here and there.

                Very close to picking an itouch up.

                Has the 2nd gen been around for a while or is there every chance that a 3rd gen will be announced in June/July?

                        I am so conflicted I don't know what I should end up getting...

                        An 8GB Nano, 8GB Touch, or a Zune...

                        I mean I don't have that much music, so I don't think I need 100+ Gigs of Memory...

                                    Well I bought myself a 120GB Zune and I flipping love this thing.

                                    I bit the bullet and signed up for the Zune Pass and I've been downloading the entire catalog of my favorite bands.

                                            I've had the 32gb touch a year now..............when is Apple going to announce a 64gb or higher? I am hoping for Sept they do.

                                                How often do you guys charge your Touches? I want to do it everynight even though I can probably go two days without charging comfortably.

                                                I listen to mine around 3 hours I day of audio, and around 20 minutes of 'net surfing/video.

                                                    With wifi turned on, it's charged every night. Otherwise, it'll last me a few days.

                                                        Really? My wifi is always turned on and mine lasts 3 or 4 days at minimum.
