Ive always carried around 2 device (Actually 3 because of my work Blackberry). I use my Iphone as a phone and nothing more. Whether Ive had a Zune or Ipod, Ive always needed two devices because the Iphone doesnt have close to enough storage for my music and movie collection. Also the Touch is pretty thin so it takes up little space.

Yeah, I always have my cell phone (LG Chocolate 2) and the touch in my pocket and the touch is slim so never gets in the way. I'd be happy with a 16 or 32 GB iPhone if it ever comes to Verizon though.

Ha I used to be that way. Sprint phone, BB iPod AND PDA. I don't miss those days man!

I think this update is a joke. I know there were rumours that both the Touch and Classic had cameras but in the last few days, technical problems with the camera stuffed up the launch, but I can't believe they added a camera to the Nano and NOT the Touch (or at least announced it).

And the iTunes update is supposed to let you sort your apps but from what I can see it just gives the options of name, genre or date. I want to be able to drag them to my own preferred order on my PC.

Other than the Nano (which I am still surprised and disappointed Apple didn't at least change the look), I think this is the most 'meh' iPod 'refresh I've seen. They are even sticking with the hardcore flop of a Shuffle too.

I agree with you here...there's no reason (aside from size) to upgrade. The software update will be kinda cool, but overall there was no killer update. Nanos with cameras is meh, how many gadget people are gonna run out and get a nano just for the camera?

I'm disappointed. Was hanging out for the new revisions but nothing bar size?

I think I'll just grab a cheap 32GB touch and wait until next year for a real revision.

Also for anyone that didn't update their touch to 3.0 yet it is now 5 bucks instead of 10 to get to 3.1.

New Nano's and Touch's in store here (Australia) today. The Nano seems a bit lighter than the previous model and the screen is a little bit bigger. The colours are real nice too, especially the metalic blue and metalic hot pink.

The video quality is really good, especially the frame rate. But what sucks and something you guys may not have known is that you can't delete recorded clips off your iPod (from the iPod itself), you have to sync it back with iTunes and delete from there.

Pretty bad feature really. If you're out playing around with the recording functions then run out of space, too bad if you see something cool to record...

I don't know whether to pick a touch up or not.

Is there a chance a new version hits once they figure the camera out or do they only release new ipods every September?

The fact that nothing has changed bar the size and processor makes me worry that when I grab one, a new version was to be released a little later all along.

What do people recommend as far as cases go. What's a good case to get, and should you get something for the screen too?

I would def advise you to wait on getting an iPod touch, its a bit odd that apple implemented a camera on the nano first before the touch. I would imagine the iPod touch is the next one up for a camera.

Anyway, congrats to those who got one this Christmas.
