It doesn't feel like it adds weight... it makes it much more similar to the iPhone now in size though.

I love being able to listen to what I want to when I want to. I loved the Touch but I hated having to think ahead about what I want to listen to before I leave for the day. I have 30GBs of music (My R&B and rap sections are 17 GB alone) and I listen to my Ipod in my car and all day at work so I like having the flexibility of listening to rock or jazz or whatever when I want to.

I would not even attempt to put my entire collection on my iPod. I do have some older music on it but I generally add what ever's new and then when I get a hankerin' for something else I'll add it. I'm up to about 12 or 13GBs on my Gen5. I didn't really see the need to get a touch.

My battery life's been fine...i've used it to listen to music and watch movies during the day and it hasn't died on me...I just plug it in when I get home

You can check webmail via wifi, and if you jailbreak the touch you can use the Mail app instead

Just the iPod touch for me. Know a lot about the iPhone b/c I was interested but it's not quite there yet, for me anyway. There are some issues that bother me and I think mgo and I share the same ones.

You can check email if you have your device "modded." It's not really that hard as there are one click methods that will setup your device for you to do this. Battery life is great for music, easily get two days (not 48 hours, two days of normal usage) out of the device. With video you can get close to 5 hours. Obviously, the higher the brightness setting, the less time you can get.

It has pretty much replaced my PDA for now.

Thanks, I think I'm going to get one. Can't you just go to the the webmail address and then log in without a mod? Also, what else is needed besides the actual Touch? That screen you guys are talking about and better earbuds?

Yes, you can use webmail through a browser. But we're talking about putting in the Mail application on the touch to access it directly.

Yeah, I use Gmail that way all the time. I use some Bose earbuds, so I can't comment on the ones that come with it.
