hey guys. i just got my 160 gig in the mail. it has 149 gigs of actual space. it came with about a 75-80% charge. im still organizing my library. I'll let you guys know how I like the new UI when i start using it.

so, Apple has decided to offer iPod Touch owners applications like Maps, Email, etc, for $20, while the new Touchs' will ship with those applications already on there. What a ****ing joke!

I got bored, so I wanted my own really customized theme. The first 12 helmets are almost all of the Kent State helmets in chronological order. Then the Browns, OSU, my high school, South Carolina



Then Chargers, older Dolphins, Mount Union College, old school South Carolina, old Browns, Air Force, Northwestern, Bears, Jaguars, old Patriots (gotta love the helmet), Memphis Maniax, Scottish Claymores, Birmingham Bolts, Vanderbilt, Rhein Fire, and the Sacramento Surge

So my 60 gig just bit the dust yesterday, so I'm looking into whether I should replace it with another classic, or if I should try out the bigger touch iPod.

My question is...since I figure there are people here who are more knowledgeable about this stuff than me...are there lots of problems with the current Touch models that should keep me from buying one? I can deal with the lack of space...it'll keep me from filling my iPod with pointless songs.

Any serious problems with the Touch that should make me stick with the classic model?

Honestly, the size doesn't bother me that much. Currently, I have 13 gigs of music on my 60 gig iPod and I probably could delete about 6 or 7 gigs of that, so the 16 would be perfect for me.

The 400 dollar price tag, though, when I can get 80gigs for 250 is rough.

Yeah, I personally wouldn't spend that much for only 16GB. Only reason I have one now is because I have an iPhone, and the phone capabilities made it well worth it to me.

Yeah, that's my thing as well.

However, I was talking to my mom about it and she said that since she just bought both of my sisters replacement iPods within the past month due to theirs being outdated, she'd buy me an 8gig touch if I wanted it, so I'll probably be condensing my music collection.

I love my family, haha.

Sweet, family's are great.

If you do go that route, don't condense your collection, just make a playlist with only the songs you want on your iTouch.

guys quick questions for u ipod buffs. I recently had to replace my computers hard drive after it bit the dust. I currently have around 500 plus songs on my ipod. Is there a way to DL all my songs from my ipod to my new computer? I was told by a buddy if i hook my ipod up to my computer it will see as it being new and erase all my songs to try to DL the new ones. Is this true? Will my current songs on my ipod get deleted when i hook it up to my PC.

iPhone users are paying for the upgrade. Apple gets a pretty big chunk of a monthly bill from ATT for every iPhone on contract with them....
