It wasn't playing here in Norman either. Me and the wife had to go to Oklahoma City to watch it.

Well worth it though as it was a damn good movie.

Really entertaining movie. Smart and funy, just the kind of indie film that can succeed in a mass market.

The part with Juno's step-mom and the ultrasound technician was hilarious - I was on the floor.

            Re: Juno

I've seen this movie twice now. This is just a lovable movie in too many ways. I think I'm in love with Ellen Page; she was just too awesome in this role. It seemed like every role worked really well, including Jennifer Garner and her character. I also liked to see J.K. Simmons out of his J. Jonah Jameson outfit (guess I don't see too many movies with him).

This movie has some sort of charm that has more qualities than being just a comedy, which is why I think I thoroughly enjoyed it. In every scene, you weren't looking at just Juno in the first person, but every time somebody spoke, it feels like you got into their mind as well... almost as if you jumped into the first person role for them for a while. Not too many movies have character depth for so many people like this one.

I really liked the writing style overall. Not too unrealistic or out there, but definitely its own unique wordage that never seemed to not fit the character speaking (except maybe Dwight haha).

This was definitely one of my top five films of the year, and I'm not much of a comedy person. If you guys haven't seen it yet, well, go see it.

Yeah I knew mostly everyone would like it! I'm going to see this again with a friend, I want more Ellen Page in quirky roles.

                      Re: Juno

I haven't seen the movie (I'll wait for DVD or pay TV) but I did see a featurette for it on FMC and they showed a lot of clips from the movie. I have to say it looks like one of the most well written films of the last 5 years at the very least. The acting looks very realistic and natural and the actors fit their characters like a glove.

The only thing I disagree is at the end where one of the actors (or writers can't remember) said that Juno will be a character that will live on and be loved for years by moviegoers like some of the most classic of characters of the past. I think that smacked a bit too much of over-hype but the movie looks like it isn't too far off that mark.

I second that . Michael Cera is worth price of admission alone and well Ellen Page is great. Juno was good but not best of the year. Kind of reminded me of Garden State for a some what younger audience. Buying it on DVD for sure .

I think Juno will be a lovable character that will be remembered down the road. I don't think she'll be up at the top, but she's definitely one of my favorite comedy characters of the last 5 years or so.

Because putting something out there is "glorifying" it. I guess we just shouldn't talk about any problems in this world.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Its not like its glorifying it or throwing mud at it. Its pretty neutral in that regard, though after seeing the movie, I don't believe any teen-age girl is going to rush out and want to get pregnant.
