I don't like the Yankees, I like the Red Sox, I don't like the Lakers, I like the Celtics, I hate the Canadiens and I love the Bruins. Soccer is the best sport on Earth, but most Americans are too ignorant to realize it. I am American.

Your not the only one, I didnt get the ending either. Just watched it tonight and it was a pretty good movie but I must confess, I really liked Gone Baby Gone more, and its not even close imo.

False. It is adequately "rated." Great movie, one that I won't mind watching again and again, which is something I NEVER do with movies. I just love the characters, their personalities suck you into the movie and keep you compelled throughout.

Add me to the list that loved this movie. At times it felt like a knock-off of Pulp Fiction, but with slightly better acting. WOW!

Knock-off of Pulp Fiction? Aside from a man with a gun looking for a case, the similarities end there...

Yeah, I was expecting more as well. It had some very intense scenes, which I enjoyed but fizzled at the end for me. Maybe I just didn't get it. Can somebody please explain what I missed. I've seen a lot of people say they didn't understand the ending but have yet to see somebody who says they did understand it, explain it.

Look back through this thread. There are a few people who got it and have explained it, including me.

AS A WARNING I"M NOT GOING TO PEPPER MY POST WITH ANY SPOILERS Very deserving of an Oscar unlike recent movies (Million Dollar Baby?). Those that didn't like the ending, I'd just like to know what you did want to see-the death of Anton? I thought the scene with the boy unselfishly giving his shirt to Anton was priceless. Him insisting on giving up the $100, and the sense that he would not hurt the kid gave the monster some humanity. As for the "non death" scene of Brolin's character, would you have been more satisfied with seeing his blood or prefer the "semi death scene" that Woody got? I think not showing Anton take down Brolin had more to do with accepting that this brave man was still no match for the crazed killer so what was the point?

                        good point imo

my take on it....the world was changing and Ed Tom and his old fashioned ways and values didnt fit in the new brutal, evil, crazy world.

Anton was a new kind of enemy for Ed Tom...a brutal, vicious, smart, and technological physcopath. Ed Tom wanted no part of this new evolution and pretty much gave up at the end and said screw it. It had become "no country for old men" like Ed Tom and his values.

...just my two cents on it

Yeah that makes sense to me. I was very confused when watching it though, especially by the demise of Moss. In fact I still have no clue whether he was killed by Chigurh or the Mexicans.

I enjoy movies that make me think but this part confused me. I'll definitely watch it again though.

He was killed by the Mexicans. Anton comes later to take the money out of the vent.

Anton didnt kill Brolin the cartel did, remember when they helped the grandma with the bags?

MDB was a pretty good movie no matter your politics.
