Re: The Wire-Season 5
I found #3 on some random site... haven't seen much of anything on TPB (aside from the initial leak of 1-2 and 5-7)... and it's normally the best/quickest for this sort of thing.
Looking for #4 now.. if anyone has any leads on torrents, PM me please. Couldn't find it on the site I got #3 from.
SpoilerWow, ****'s going down. that butchie scene was harder for me to watch than Wallace or the beatdown that Chris gave to Bug's Daddy... probably because I really liked Butchie as a character and his interactions with Omar. I can't wait for Omar to come storming back into town and wreck Marlo's shop.
And it surprised me when Lester agreed with McNulty's fake serial killer idea. I guess they both have that same "**** the bosses" kind of attitude for the most part.. initially it seemed like some drunk fantasy when Jimmy was trying to convince Bunk, but when Lester started rationalizing it, it actually seemed like a reasonable idea.. hah. Funny how that works.
Nice to see Clay Davis getting his after all the sheisty **** he's pulled.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

SpoilerPersonally, nothing touches Wallace's scene.
I liked Butchie as a character, but he knew this was inevitable. The thing that made Wallace so hard to watch is because of how pathetic he was and how Bodie wasn't at that point. Chris and Snoop just do what they do, but Bodie was crying as much as Wallace. Reminds me of a certain scene from The Shield.Comment

Who's Wallace again? Please refresh my memory.
The beat down Chris gave to the child molester that is Bug's dad, that was some sweet justice. iCost of Super Bowl XLII ticket -$750

Re: The Wire-Season 5
Just watched episode 3. Thoughts below....
SpoilerOh Marlo, Marlo, Marlo. You're in over your head, boy. He thinks he can cut Prop Joe out of the equation and do business directly with the Greeks, but there's a reason Prop Joe has gotten to be where he is without being killed by any number of people - the dude is a savvy businessman and that's where Marlo fails.
I thought originally Marlo was mindful of the big picture in playing nice with Avon to cut Prop Joe out, but Marlo's no better when Avon was when it comes to feuding for corners and warring with people like Omar. After what happened to Butchie, Omar's going to come back and tear **** up, leaving Marlo to wish he'd never awakened that sleeping dog. But Marlo just looks like an amateur at this point who can't do anything for himself. Can't get his money out of his new bank, can't deal with the Greeks without looking like a chump....
Interesting how everyone's cutting corners. The police have no manpower and are reduced to staging murders to draw attention, the media are stipped to a barebones staff who are reduced to lying about quotes and sources to get attention and prove their worth to their superiors, teachers who are committed to their jobs are forced to teach tests that are practically meaningless...."more with less." All the good police, good journalists, good teachers are in very short supply in places like Baltimore.Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.

In real life, Omar and Prop Joe would be long since dead. It's my favorite show and all, but Omar's existence continually undermines the realism aspect.
I used to hate Marlo, but rewatching old episodes after watching some of the season 5 episodes, Marlo is the boss. I hope my man Monk makes Prop Joe his third baby momma.Comment

One thing you should remember about Marlo is his goal to be the king of the West Baltimore drug trade no matter what it takes. He even said in Season 3 that is all he is looking for. He's exactly like Avon....he doesnt want to change the game, he just wants to be the best.Comment

Omar was originally written to be killed near the end of season 1 but the network and the fans liked him so much that Simon decided to keep him alive.Comment

Re: The Wire-Season 5
Prop Joe stays out of silly beefs? He perpetuated the Omar vs Avon and started Omar vs Marlo. He then has Marlo do all of the work for him and the Co-op in season 4 while ripping him off.Comment
