My friend and I said the same thing about the Weebay and Chris scene.

Oh, and the Marlo scene was perfect as well.

Actually, the entire episode was pretty good in my opinion. The season as a whole - not so much - but the finale was fitting for the series.

Michael isn't gay at all, he'll just be robbing people.

That how I felt, but my boys were saying that because his past and the fact that he'll only be around dudes since he can't show his face anywhere he would end up full fledged Omar.

Regardless it's good to see Chris still believed in him even though he took out Snoop.

I doubt that Mike is gonna be gay. Look at season 4 and the way that he shyed away from all male contact. He is gonna be like Omar simply put that he is gonna rip and run. Unfortunatly that also means that in time he will also be killed. But Mike knows the game. He knows how to spot the stash house and every thing else. I like how they gave him the shotgun and had him put a round in the guy that owns the rim shop. Mike will be okay for the time being. BUt he will also be robbing all those dealers and the majority of that money will go to his aunt in HoCo. (My county) to take care of Bug. IMHO.

I liked the series finale. I just didn't understand Marlo's last scene. I thought he was leaving the game, what was the point on him going back to the street????

Marlo went out there just to prove that he was still a badass, basically. He wanted to prove to himself that he still had it.

My take on it was it was symbolic of everyday struggle he'll face now. Although he's not in jail he's in his own jail because he can't be on the streets anymore or risk going to jail for life. You see how stressed and miserable he was around the suits but how happy he was on the street corner.

Btw isn't it ironic that throughout the serious he was always concerned about his name and his rep on the street, but when he walks up on the two kids on the corner they had no idea who he was and yet the story of Omar was getting bigger and bigger.

Awesome finale. Hated seeing Dukie in that situation at the end. I really liked that kid.

When the credits came up and the song thats always played during the credits started it made me a little depressed. This show was hands down my favorite show of all time. Nothing comes close to The Wire IMO.

Yeah I don't think it had much to do with him proving whether or not he still had it. He grew up in the streets. He embraced the toughness and violence and even got off on it I think. He was in for the money and rep no doubt, but also for the danger. It gave him a rush, something being around the stuffed shirts couldn't provide. You could see that when he and Chris did Prop Joe, and even last night when he licked his blood. Dude was a freak. As for the Marlo=Stringer comparison, I came away from it with the thought that Marlo was no Stringer.

Yep, I'm satisfied with it. One thing that made the finale feel so right was the fact that there is continuance of some of the deceased characters. I was glad to see Bubbles finally get to go upstairs. Dukie was pretty sad, but the kid obviously never had a chance. I never cared for the newspaper storyline, but Gus was a good character & it was cool to see order returned to the newsroom. After its all said & done, my least favorite character is now Herc. Plus, you gotta love Slim's loyalty. I wish they'd bring this back in 3-5 years and start the story over.

Marlo is more like Avon than Stringer. He's been in the streets for so long that that is all he knows. He's got his 10 million and he is fine. Like everyone said that he is more comfortable in the streets in Timbs and a white tee than he is in a suit with all the money men in Baltimore. But Marlo will probably be fine. He knows that he is done in the streets. He gave up the connect, all his muscle is either dead or in jail. He went to the corner and the corner boys didn't even know who he was. His name is his name yet the streets already forgot about him.
