That's my biggest issue... why does someone who bought the same device I did (let's use yesterday as an example) now have more things in it, for the same price if they buy it next week? It's software that is the lifeblood of the device and the reason I bought the thing in the first place.

This reminds me when the 1st gen. iPod Nano wasn't updated to allow the scrolling by letter feature.... that was included in the new Nano. Simply stupid. No reason for things like that.

Hell, I would have been fine with a price drop in the device too.... b/c I expect that... but to not support the product properly....

Whatever, I have that and more for free. If Apple were smart, they would've realized a lot of people who had "jailbroken" iPod touch's would have upgraded just to get the new features... but not for $20.

Time Capsule is new. Looks cool. Good backup if you have a macbook.

I think that the Movie rentals start immediately. You have to update your iTunes software.

SMH @ the obsession with making things thinner. That laptop probably has the worst keyboard in the history of laptops, and the macbook keyboards were sketchy as it were.

I can only say that personally, I love the macbook keyboard. No idea what makes it sketchy, although it does look funny at first.....

I think some of the new products are pretty nice.

Upgrading the apple TV to output HD was a no-brainer. I still don't think it will sell terribly well, but at least its a viable option if you have an HDTV.

The rental service seems decent. On Time warner, HD movies are the same price, and you get 24 hours to watch them. So I guess with iTunes, once you start the movie you have 24 hours, which ends up being the same thing if you rent it and watch it immediately. I don't have a blu-ray or HD-DVD, so there aren't too many options to get HD movies (I can also do Xbox live marketplace).

The new MacBook Air looks cool. If I traveled a lot more, I might be interested. Sort of intrigued with the 60 gig solid-state drive.....I wonder if that will help to increase battery life?

IMO, the best product introduced is the Time Capsule. Being able to wirelessly backup your hard drive on your router is a pretty cool idea, I must admit. And you can backup multiple computers, which is nice.

on the apple site it says movie rentals are coming soon. I just downloaded the itunes update and didn't see anything about renting movies. Just buying them like before. Definitely going to pick up an apple tv now.

I do like the fact that in a year or two when I'm buying a laptop they'll be smaller and cheaper, even if I don't go Apple...you gotta figure that all the other companies will be competing....

My girlfriend loves this thing (the new laptop). I really don't understand the appeal of these things like she does (she doesn't really travel with her laptop, and when we do, we would use it to watch dvds...). I know I am not really what Mac is marketing towards, but how they seem to get people in frenzies over some of these things, I don't understand. There is nothing wrong with her old laptop, she isn't stretching the requirements by any stretch of the imagination. I know I am fighting a losing battle on this one, I just don't get a lot of this Apple stuff (I have an Ipod and that is it).
