It is a prequel, but we will also see scenes from during BB's timeframe and after, I believe Gilligan confirmed that.

was pretty intense. I don't really know what to expect, if that will kind of snap him out of it, or if Walt is just going to go off the deep end, and become a real kingpin.

That version was immensely better than the one I saw during the Super Bowl. Maybe I was distracted a bit during SB but it's amazing what just a few more seconds can do.

I actually thought it was gonna be a Better Call Saul ad when I saw it live.

I just finished up Breaking Bad, what a ride. I've now watched The Wire and this back-to-back. Television can't get much better than this. And like The Wire, I kind of dug that there weren't really any "good guys" on the show. Everyone was flawed in one way or another and that made it very interesting.

Walt always had his family at heart, but his ego got the best of him and the meth game became more than a means to an end. He really turned into a monster as the series progressed. That being said, I could understand how he was able to rationalize a lot of the horrible things that he did. Dude was all about self preservation.

I thought Jesse was a loser pretty much the whole way through. He had a big heart, but he wasn't very smart. He made a ton of bad decisions. He also suffered a lot of heavy losses during this, so him being unstable made sense. I thought the guy who played him did a good job.

Time to decide on a new show now. I'm getting a lot of support for Sons of Anarchy on Twitter.

Probably could get a list of shows to try in a new thread, but it only makes sense that you jump to Better Call Saul. It's well done, and the second season will be starting soon so you can get up to speed pretty quickly.

Getting off the thread a bit, what did you think of Jesse as a "crybaby rat"? I though Uncle Jack was gold ("Jesus, what's with all the greed here? It's unattractive.", "I'm giving you a barrel") even though he was despicable.

I tried maybe 3 or 4 episodes of The Americans and I couldn't get into it. Didn't even know Fargo was a show. I dug the movie.

As far as Jesse goes, I get why he was upset, but I was still pissed when he went and ratted to Hank. He wasn't cut out for the world of crime. Too emotional.

Fargo is great... I like it more than the movie, but they will be doing a bit of a True Detective style reboot so we'll see.
