Nope. It's about 2 NEETs (brother and sister) that get "summoned" (I guess is the word you can use. Transported?) to a world where humanity ("Imanity") is the lowest ranked race on the totem pole. There is no murder, robbery, etc in the world, but everything is decided by games. These two are the "ultimate gamers" and form the perfect team in games. Shiro (the young sister) is basically the one that analyzes the games/data and Sora (the main protagonist) is able to read the players/get in their heads.

It's not necessarily about "Will they win" it's "how clever can they win."

It's got a lot of video game references in it (Phoenix Wright has a bunch, Skyrim even had one, plus other games that may not be as well known in the states.)

It's a bit too fanservice-y for my preferences - even if they are doing it in jest/parody it's still there - but that's to be expected considering the source. It's an absolutely fantastic show that you should at least give a chance. I really am hoping for a season 2 to be picked up. The art is beautiful, different and the show is pretty fast paced.

Compared to DxD, is the fan service more or less?

        High School DxD?

Dunno, I turned the first episode of that off because it was just too much to take. So I'll go with less.

Ugh, Eureka Seven AO was nowhere near the original series. If it wasn't for completion sake I would have turned it off in the early episodes. I'll probably wait for the new season to start before getting into anything else. Although Outbreak Company looks interesting from last season.

Yes but I will say this the story does get pretty good. I usually honestly skip those parts. It's one of my favorites now despite me nor liking the fan service to much. Only one I ever read the Light Novels to. Still waiting for the next 2 volumes to be translated. Just in case you want to give it another chance lol.

Well, I tried. I tried not to drop Black Bullet but I just can't watch this **** anymore. The lolis, the plotholes... it's just too much.

The worst thing of all though, is that even in an apocalyptic setting, the dull characters and the people appear to be living in a fine version of Japan, not one on the brink of extinction.

It had so much potential, it just turned out to be awful. I only made it 7 episodes out of 13.

So I watched and finished Code Gaess. It wasn't bad but didn't do it for me like it did for other people.

I think the next that will be watched off my will watch list will be Log Horizon or TTGL

Eh, the ending was crap as well. The post apocalyptic setting is starting to be right up there with the zombie setting for me.

Anyone else catch the first episode of the second season of Sword Art Online? I halfway thought about giving up on it after the first season left me underwhelmed after a strong start but what the hell. I may as well stick it out. The premise has me curious to see where it goes having not read the manga.

I want to so bad since I love SAO but I hate waiting weekly so I'm waiting until it's completely out first. So basically 6 months...
