Although I haven't personally seen NCFOM, it racked up awards tonight. My roommate, a huge movie buff, has told me time and again how amazing the movie is, and I can't believe I haven't watched the film yet. I just want to see how Javier makes Hannibal Lecter look like a kitten.

Hmmm. I didn't know Juno did that well at the box office-$130 million US Gross.

I'm glad to see DDL and Javier Bardem both win Oscars. Their performances were some of the best I have ever seen.

So I went to an Oscars watching party last night with my wife. The Oscars is the most boring thing to watch EVER with way too many commercials.

There's such a thing?! Was it a black tie party?

I'm guessing the ladies just wanted to feel all glamorous like the stars, right? Haha.

No, just some of our friends, very casual. All the wives talk about that crap all night and the guys talk about sports.

I've tried to watch the Grammys, Oscars, etc but the beginning is so boring that I can never make it to see the good awards getting handed out. Was there a tribute to Heath?

That was the best story I saw all year or really in years. I don't understand why it wasn't up for foreign language film btw. I plan to see The Counterfeiters so I'll reserve judgment but outside of NYC & LA that movie hasn't released anywhere. People need to know that The Diving Bell and the Butterfly was out there because I think it is an important film people could appreciate.

These were the lowest rated Oscars ever. Further proof the masses are as ignorant as ever. Uggh bad signs for the short future.

I tried to watch them, and was bored out of my mind. Even if I really cared who won these things, I'm not sure I could sit through an entire night just to find out.

Yeah I don't know how ratings work.. I myself switched it on and off so I'm not sure if I actually counted as "watching" the program. I was just getting at the fact that most people didn't see any of these films maybe that's why they didn't watch. Could be wrong though since you bring up a valid point.

To be honest, I had them on the entire time, but really was only paying attention to Jon Stewart and the last half hour or so when the real awards were given.
